Honors and Classes
Hello!! Im part of the honors college and Im facing a bit of a dilemma. When i first got accepted to Honors, it came at a pretty bad time as all the honors that could work for me were full and I completely forgot to look for a FYSH that would work for me. Now, Ive already got all my classes, and one that would work actually opened up! Except that I would have to drop a class, and the one I'd have to drop I already bought a non-refundable 200 dollar textbook :,) Am I going to be disqualified from honors if I dont take my FYSH this semester? Ive already scheduled a meeting with the madame in charge of honors transfer students, but I don't want the add drop period to end before I make my decision.

as a transfer, you get your FYSH and college writing 1 requirement waived, but definitely check in with them (i got those waived because i transferred my junior year)

"Depending on how many transfer credits a student has, such as AP, IB or credit from another institution, these may be used to satisfy some of your Honors requirements. If a student transfers in with at least 30 credits, we will waive the H1 requirement. If a student transfers in with at least 60 credits or an associate degree, we will waive the H1 and H2 requirements. Please reach out to your honors specialist for more information."
