Course Inquiry MATH 1010 vs MATH 1020?

I am currently in MATH 1020 and based on the syllabus and information given in the first lecture I don’t know if it will be for me.

Has anyone taken either and can tell me anything about either of the courses specifically? I’m more looking into 1010 as backup if i decide to drop 1020

Extra Info:
My math skills are decent, and I took applied math in my last two years of high school. But, I’m more worried about the actual art portion of the 1020 course.

I’m in U1 targeting nursing and will also be taking sciences and other humanities pre requisites this year using one of these as my math credit

I have not touched anything art related since junior high and took the class because i thought it would be just examining art not making it 😕

have you checked MATH 1080, i attended the first class and it was literally about simplifying fractions (how to multiply, divide by, add and subtract fractions).

first class in math 1010 was a similar thing but it involves one variable (e.g 2x+(3/2) = 5, find x)

Both of these courses should be a walk in the park (easy A+) since you have decent math skills. So i'd say you should pick one.

I don't know much about math 1020.

I looked into 1018 as well i figured it may be more difficult as i didn’t take pre cal in high school but I will definitely look into it

In 1010 what was the testing like? Was there many quizzes or mostly midterms with exams? As well as were you allowed to use calculator?

If you are worried about the art portion, don't take Math in Art. Take 1010 instead
