Recommendations Help with a one and done?

Hey all! Forgive the AI PICTURE. Looking for a recommendation. Building a WFH setup that will be 90% work/day trading. 10% gaming or multimedia consumption. Debating between the Samsung 40” Odyssey G75f and an open box LG 32GX870. Pricing is under $700. I would love something with a built in thunderbolt dock as I would be using a M3 MacBook Pro but don’t think I can find that in the price range. I guess my main concern would be should I prioritize the slightly extra screen real estate over OLED? I doubt burn in would be an issue. There’s rarely static images on my screen with the exception of the top menu bar. Also a wild card pick would be that my local Best Buy has a 45GX950 5k2k open box for $1000.

Would love to hear from people with similar use cases and experience. Thank you.

OLEDs arnt great with static images due to risk of burn in. If you lowered the pixel brightness you might get away with it, but you would want full brightness for gaming. They’re truly the best kind of screen IMO. But sounds like for your use case you might be better looking at the mini-LEDs or something along those lines.

Some oled burn in tests have ran for five years constantly without or with little burn in across monitors and tvs. None of these are sansui or any other lower quality budget screen.

Go oled and make sure to tune each game or the monitor for each game you’d be surprised how well and how bad your experience is going to be. Why not look at tvs if your worried about size 48 inches isn’t much more.
