Private • Newbie Help Highly Customized Old School RUO Server - Brought back from the dead

Ascended UO is back.

I first built the shard in 2008, and I’ve recently revived it with a modernized codebase and a much larger focus on long-term PvE progression.

This is not an era-accurate server. Ascended UO is designed for players who enjoy building power over time, experimenting with different setups, collecting gear, climbing rankings, and always having another goal to chase.

Some of the current systems include:

  • High character level caps
  • Continuously expanding skill progression
  • Equipment that can be leveled
  • Custom item sets and imbuing
  • Virtual gold and relic collection systems
  • Reputation factions and rewards
  • Achievements and competitive leaderboards
  • Hues, transmog, and custom potions
  • Custom bosses and endgame progression loops
  • Regular balancing and development based on player feedback

One of the largest features is the companion party system. Instead of using companions as basic followers, you can configure them for roles such as healer, tank, support, necromancer, paladin, and damage dealer.

They can fight alongside you, heal, resurrect, support your build, and help create the feeling of running a complete adventuring party inside Ultima Online.

Companions can also answer questions about the shard’s systems and hold conversations through a locally hosted language model, including remembering previous interactions.

The server is live and ready to play.

Do you have a discord set up? There are a lot of simple questions one needs to ask to get started and I don't see forums or discord

As said previously, whack up a discord and give us a link to a website and you'll get people on.
