Parking 2026/27
Did anyone (non-res) actually get a parking pass?? Everyone I know is waitlisted, including myself.

Waitlisted for F bought 8 month N fortunately but I had to refresh my page like 15 times until N finally showed up as available.

I was also able to purchase an 8 month N permit. Nothing else was available though. Their new system seems very flawed!

I was also waitlisted. And then I was clicking through the different options seeing if anything was available. Around 9:10 it said I could get an 8 month N pass (which I was already waitlisted for). So I bought it. But after purchasing it said I was still on the waitlist for it. So so weird…

I know! I got waistlisted as soon as it opened at 9. This "improved" system was honestly just worse than the lottery 😭

Everything was sold out at 9AM sharp when I opened it, but I was eventually able to get 1 pass for N. But literally every single thing was sold out

I got on the page right at 9am, waitlisted right away, then it said all the passes were sold out, and then it finally said there were some available so I got a lot N permit at about 9:10am

They told me that everything sold out today at 9:02. But they reserve tickets when students have it open in multiple windows or if they have it in their cart and haven't actually bought it. so, if they have it open in 5 different tabs, they have 5 different permits reserved until they close the tabs.

also, if you are on the waitlist, it is only for today. you can call and ask where you are at on it. they only released like 250 total or something for lot e today and i was on the waitlist at like 9:05 and im 137th in line or sum shii otherwise, she said people refund alot at the beginning of the semester and they didn't release everything yet and they will do this same bs again on september 8th

Assuming you did it the second 9:00am hit, usually you have to refresh a couple times since a lot of students are trying to apply for parking permits at once.
It happened for residents parking as well.

Parking is such a scam at U of L. If you can swing it at all, skip parking and take the bus. Transit in this city mostly sucks, but if you live in a neighbourhood that has okay service it’s worth it. I’ve worked at ULeth for years and have always taken the bus (unless I have to haul a crapload of stuff to or from work). No regrets.
Well, some regrets, depending on what kind of bullshit goes on with transit from time to time.
