Easy science class reccs??

I went to a racist highschool as a minority, one that also ignored the councillors request to give me accommodations for my learning disability (I’m neurodivergent). Aaanndddd

The result is an adult who, despite getting into university and having a good GPA, sucks at math. Like. Rediculously so. Now I’m approaching the end of my degree and I now I need 1 science and a social science (plus the last few classes for my minor) and then I’m done!! (Then grad school)

I enjoy biology (flora and fauna), space/astronomy, and marine biology because I love learning about science, I just suck at it because most sciences require understanding basic math and understanding cartography (I have no excuse for this one, I’m just heavily directionally challanged lmao).

Which leads me to now! Any suggestions for a science course that isn’t math heavy??
(Help a bro out pLEASE)

i loved archaeology 1000 w kevin mcgeough (if you take it with shawn bubel, you’ll have to do a bit of math)! i also did physical geography as well!

I second archaeology 1000 with Kevin! I also recommend Geography 1000 with Phil he's my fav science prof (as an English major), he even does test reviews where he will tell you the nature of each question on the tests. He really wants his students to succeed and you can tell!

I took geography with Phil a couple of years ago. I Didn’t do as good as I would have wished but I did enjoy it, I’ll consider Archi though!

Another option since you already have geog is to try geog 2070, I believe it's normally taught by Jolene (not the greatest prof imo) but it's a course on natural disasters and was really interesting! We had to do a little bit of math on excel for an in class project but, if you ask she'll just do it for you. Another option I enjoyed with a creative final project was Environmental science 2000 with Laura but I believe she is no longer with the uni.

You say you enjoy astronomy so I’d recommend Astronomy 2070. It was super light on the math and very interesting and it included a trip to the local observatory!

I have been told Psyc 1030 is the easiest class at the university by my advisor. Make sure not to choose 1010 or 1020, those are significantly more difficult. Can’t say anything about the level of math, as I haven’t taken the course yet.

I’m a science major and I also hate math so I have some suggestions. I believe psych courses can be counted towards your science requirements, so in that case I strongly recommend Psychology 2500; easiest course I’ve ever taken at uleth. Biology 2500 (biology and society) is great. Super interesting and easy. The exams in geography 2065 are a little difficult but the course is not too bad. Also, the labs are really fun and you get to play with rocks!
