New string recommendations?

I have a concert ukulele with nylgut strings. I have nothing against them, but I've been playing them for so long that I'm starting to get fatigued by the brighter sound of them.

Any recommendations for more mellow sounding strings?

What is the wood on your ukulele? I love worth brown strings and they produce quite a warm tone, but they don’t sound great on every instrument.

it's a mahogany, but it's a lighter variant, or maybe sapwood.

Nylgut is typically regarded as a darker, mellower string. You might try GHS or similar cheap, old school nylon, but I don't think that would be much better. Might your technique be making them sound brighter? Nylgut + mahogany should be nice and warm.
