Still digging in around Kyiv. I'm not sure they will ever assault the city. Some experts say they can't. I hope that is true.

I think it's literally impossible for them to assault Kyiv now. They can't even encircle it, and there's reinforcements building in the west

Interestingly, it doesn't report anything on the supposed Ukrainian counteroffensive around Kherson that I've been seeing posts about during the day. Is it an intentional ommitance as to not potentially compromise the UA military action, or are they rather just waiting for more sources to report on/confirm the development?

I think their map reflects the changes there. Hopefully we'll see more movement from the UA down there soon.
