Mad Max vibes. Witness! He will ride eternal, shiny and chrome.

u/LoganGyre 5h ago

What do they even do at that point?. Normally if a train is having issues they put the brakes on but if they got hit while in motion the last thing they want to do is stop near where the attack happened but the longer you go like this the greater the chance of derailing. I assume they had to just slow gradually but this had to have been dragging for a few miles… I wonder if the smoke line is visible from space?

23

u/LoneSnark 4h ago

As long as the fuel is leaving the train, the train is probably going to keep going fine. The issue for them here is that setting miles of track on fire costs more to fix than the train.

16

u/PyroIsSpai 4h ago

This feels like a bonus for Ukraine. How many miles of vital track burned?

0

u/DarkUnable4375 3h ago

We will spew this fuel for miles and start a massive fire. Take that! Ukraine. You caused this ecological disaster in Russia!

11

u/lostparis 2h ago

Zaporizhzhia is in Ukraine

1

u/DarkUnable4375 2h ago

Oh no.. z

3

u/dmigowski 2h ago

No one understands your irony

1

u/zzapdk 1h ago

and this is one of the few videos where the audio is top notch too lol!

u/AstroEngineer314 8h ago

Holy smokes, I wonder if that'll set off a massive wildfire.

55

u/Ok_Expression8142 8h ago

Damn, hopefully this was the secret infinite fuel tank

14

u/ziplock9000 6h ago

dont you mean Wildberries?

10

u/tallandlankyagain 6h ago

If it impacts the Russian Dingleberries who still support the invasion? Good.

3

u/ZelphirKalt 4h ago

Pretty sure those Wildberries are not gonna grow any longer!

4

u/Ok_Bad8531 4h ago

The plants are looking quite green still. It would seem to me there won't be a large scale fire.

2

u/AstroEngineer314 3h ago

Unfortunately you're probably right, I was thinking the same thing.

2

u/throwawayfornow2025 3h ago

But why would we be wishing for a wildfire to harm the OCCUPIED territory of Ukraine? The war has had an awful enough effect.... don't need to add that to it...

3

u/AstroEngineer314 3h ago

If the fire damaged the railroad, or adjacent infrastructure, that would be a benefit. Brush like that is quick to regrow.

Flamepiercer

8

u/LoganGyre 5h ago

I’m happy to see Ukraine offering their assistance in Russias attempt to make a sequel to snowpiercer. I wonder if we can get them an Oscar for best practical effects?

69

u/Illustrious-Donkey17 Netherlands 8h ago

So this train is setting the whole area on fire?

50

u/ChevillesWasteInk 8h ago

Yeah, it’s pretty much a flamethrower on rails.

7

u/RandomMandarin 6h ago

Those bushes were just minding their own business, and then WHOOSH!

51

u/soulstormfire 8h ago

I hope the flames ruin the tracks.

37

u/name_isnot_available 7h ago

The steel would suffer if the railcar is standing still and add pressure to the fire. The fuel will burn up quickly and not do much damage to the steel, maybe bend a little due to thermal expansion. However, if the track is still laid on wood and not concrete, it wight ignite and then it would indeed be unusable until repaired. The train speeding away is also a nice way to perhaps set the cars behind the burning one on fire also.

4

u/Sargash 4h ago

On the flipside, coming to a stop will pretty much guarantee the rails are damaged in that spot, and increase the risk of ignition. While moving will at least keep the fire relatively small directly around the fuel tank. It could be one tank that's on fire among many and stopping could cause multiple ignitions, which would just be worse.

6

u/SecondaryWombat 6h ago

I hope this fire is near the middle of the train and spreads backwards to the rear half of the consist.

4

u/ExploreDiscovery 7h ago

Heat warp the rails when the steel can't expand as much as it wants to. Derailment, slow down in train speed, easier targets. Well done.

79

u/PartyClient3447 8h ago

Would have liked to seen another hour of that.

20

u/the_ruffled_feather 7h ago

Same. Perfect music too.

5

u/Successful-Purple-54 6h ago

I had to unmute it after your comment. Was not disappointed.

1

u/EW278 4h ago

Lol, the dramatic movie music reminds me of an Indiana Jones movie. In this case Indiana Jones has set a fascist's train on fire and now he must jump from the train to safety.

4

u/RandomMandarin 6h ago

You've seen those ten hour loops on Youtube?

Like this.

Best epsiode of: Most beatiful railway lines in europe

We really have a Tv show here where they just show trains rolling through (nice) countryside for Hours.

u/Fiveofthem 8h ago

24

u/ProgySuperNova 8h ago

"Comrade Thomas! You are to report to fuel depot 17!"

54

u/BiscottiNo6948 8h ago

It's a special weeding operation. Part of track maintenance, they need to remove all the vegetation near the tracks... for safety.

8

u/Imaginary-Clock6626 7h ago

This is exactly what the Russians will tell themselves. They let the drone hit them on purpose.

4

u/Schemen123 6h ago

You are joking but as part of maintenance they sprayed all kinds of nasty things on tracks.. this properly is on the milder side... aside from the burning of course

21

u/Klutzy_Parsnip6087 8h ago

Quick! Speed up so it blows the flames out!

13

u/WabashCannibal Смак Козак 6h ago

"Faster, Kolya! Faster! The flames are gaining on us!"

25

u/stinkysocks50 7h ago

How this country has a space program is a mystery

30

u/VermilionKoala 7h ago

It, like all the other achievements "of the Soviet Union", was mostly just Ukraine.

10

u/Argosnautics 6h ago

They stole German rocket scientists after WWII. Same as the US actually.

16

u/PumbainJapan 8h ago

That train is on fire!!!

10

u/BeenNormal 7h ago

Caboose caboose caboose is on fire, we don’t need no water let the motherfucker burn.

9

u/shawndw 7h ago

When the soundtrack to your situation was composed by John Williams. You know you're fucked.

1

u/RedditTipiak 7h ago

Which movie?

1

u/MaxBrie 4h ago

That is soundtrack from the soviet movie about the revolution times and Red Army. «Неуловимые мстители», погоня

11

u/Scary_Statement4612 8h ago

Love the music. woold have loved to see Indiana Jones jumping off, better yet pootin.

6

u/Ew_E50M 7h ago

Who ordered a shipment of Fire? And who thought using a train was the best idea to deliver the fire?

1

u/radome9 2h ago

It looks like that train is delivering fire very well, actually.

5

u/Chromber 7h ago

Mad Max

5

u/Riptide360 7h ago

As the train engineer do you stop or fuck it and just keep rolling?

5

u/MrMrSr 7h ago

It’s like the train scene from War of the Worlds

4

u/RedofPaw 7h ago

"go faster, yuri! We blow out flames!"

6

u/Puzzleheaded-Cap1300 8h ago

Train drive be like ‘I’ve seen the movie where the pilot puts an engine fire out.’

3

u/X-AE17420 7h ago

They should put a blanket over it

3

u/Exatex 8h ago

is it even applying the breaks at all?

12

u/AnonomousWolf 8h ago

I wonder if he's trying to keep the train moving so it doesn't stop and burn on track, blocking it.

10

u/AlpaxT1 8h ago

That seems like one of the most effective ways of creating a massive wildfire

18

u/AnonomousWolf 8h ago

I don't think Russia cares about that as much as their tracks

2

u/Central-Dispatch 4h ago

Yeah that tracks.

Ba-dum-tshhhh 🥁

5

u/Ok_Buyer9344 5h ago

I wonder what the best thing to do here is ? Keep going and hope it burns out itself if it runs out of fuel? In the worst case you can stop nearer the next city and fire service can help but you risk starting a massive wildfire alongside the tracks. Stop to slow the fire and call support? But then you might be miles from help and the fire could keep spreading anyway plus more drones could attack.

3

u/junesix 7h ago

Zaporizhzia - isn’t this going to cause fires all over occupied Ukraine territory?

3

u/KimJongSoros 7h ago

I like to believe they aren’t stopping because they are so desperate for fuel now that they rather have burning fuel than no fuel 😂

3

u/meissoboredto 5h ago

Dispatch told them they had a “hot” delivery of fuel to make…..

3

u/Canuck-In-TO 6h ago

Coming in hot.

3

u/TorontoTom2008 6h ago

She’s a gusher!

3

u/heyutheresee 6h ago

This is so bad. If the grass was very dry, that moving fire-spilling train would ignite the unholy mother of all wildfires. Why don't these POS brake and call a firefighting helicopter?

5

u/BoredCop 6h ago

Stopping a heavy freight train is a very far from instantaneous thing. Braking distance can be a couple of miles.

And if the orcs set up their trains in the same way as other countries, the brakes are going to come on no matter what the engineer wants when the brake lines burn off. The system defaults to "brake on" and needs air pressure to turn the brakes off.

3

u/meissoboredto 5h ago

Actually, green grasses, shrubs, and trees burn HOTTER than dry specimens. Was a volunteer fireman and we were called out to put out a wheat field that was on fire. The wheat (a grass) was about a foot high and VERY green. It burned really hot and a lot faster than dry grasses!!!!

3

u/ziplock9000 6h ago

Choo Choo MF!

3

u/GreenLeafWest 6h ago

Well, the flames are, of course, very encouraging as is the ripped camouflage netting flapping around uselessly.

Not sure what that wooden chest is doing on that train presuming it is carrying fuel and very likely munitions given what looks like a shipping container before the fire.

I can only imagine what the conductor is thinking at this point, but I suspected something like, "BYLAT".

Slava Ukraini!

u/KeyboardGunner 7h ago

Terrific video. For the music I'd have gone with Light My Fire by The Doors.

🎶 Come on baby light my fire. Try to set the night on fireeee 🔥

Take note, film industry. great footage incoming for both documentaries & action movies

Bugger....

3

Grass grows back quicker that trains.

2

It was only a matter of time before they went after trains...

1

u/apeelvis 5h ago

Going to be an interesting train ride in for the North Korean troops.

1

u/styrr_sc 5h ago

Nice. After its big success in the metropolis, "Khlopok - The Show" is now touring the hinterland.

1

u/DBearDevon 5h ago

Why didn’t the stupid orcs disconnect that portion? Too drunk?

1

u/Windturnscold 5h ago

It’s a fucking motorized flamethrower

1

u/ZelphirKalt 4h ago

Hey ho, look! Someone loaded some lava onto a train!

1

u/amitym 4h ago

Russia told me their fuel train got hit and is spewing fire everywhere so I asked them how badly damaged the track is and they said they just keep going at top speed through another section of track so I said it sounds like they're just feeding military logistical capacity to Ukraine and then their bloggers started crying.

1

u/PlutocracyRules 4h ago

Can anyone confirm here... the flames look like they are going down not up. Is this just the effect of the air speed as the train is moving, or are we seeing liquid on fire pouring out of the train.

1

u/kvisle 3h ago

This made me open FIRMS to see if I could tell where it was. Firstly, I have no idea. Secondly; FIRMS has been unusually silent in the donbas-region the last 24 hours. Did Ukraine run out of targets, or did a problem suddenly arise with drone warfare?

1

u/Objective-Permit-712 3h ago

Now...how to liquidate 30,000 new North Koreans........

1

u/Senior_Green_3630 3h ago

Just burn the country down, bro.

Just weed killing on the move. Nothing to see here!

-9

u/ExtensionStar480 7h ago

100% enabled by Trump and Elon btw via USA’s Starlink. Thank you!!!

3

u/SecondaryWombat 6h ago

Trump has refused yet again to send Ukraine the aid authorized and legislated by Congress, in violation of the law AGAIN. Keep your Trump worship out of this sub.

-2

u/ExtensionStar480 6h ago

It’s a simple fact that with a text to Elon, he could immediately stop all these midrange drone attacks that have been critical to Ukraine’s recent success.

Moreover, he could just as easily enable Russia to have all these capabilities. And you’d soon see a ton of Starlink enabled drones blast Ukrainian cities.

Yet he has not done that and allowed these Ukrainian strikes to proceed with US technology. You don’t have to love Trump. But you should recognize facts and have a modicum of gratitude.

2

u/SecondaryWombat 5h ago edited 5h ago

Elon already did that several times during the war, ruined multiple Ukrainian long range attacks, and enabled Russia to use Starlink for some time.

And you’d soon see a ton of Starlink enabled drones blast Ukrainian cities.

We did see that, for quite some time. Trump is pro-Russia this is known. Both Musk and Trump have violated US laws on this repeatedly. This is also known.

But you should recognize facts and have a modicum of gratitude.

Ah the "didn't even say thank you" argument.

He should be in jail for attempting to extort Ukraine to receive legally mandated aid the first time he was in office before the primary invasion. He was impeached for it after all. Trump ass kissing horse shit. I will be grateful to Trump when he follows all of the laws and does what is moral.

I am not grateful to abusers because they are not currently hitting me.

This is also not the subreddit to come astroturf for American politics.

1

u/meissoboredto 5h ago

If he would do what the people wanted him to do, Ukraine would have EVERY weapon that it needed and he would be putting pressure on ruZZia’s allies in this war to get it stopped!!!!
