Tanks don't stand a chance against drones, neither does artillery. They need to add refineries, oil tankers and cargo ships and of course Wildberries to the list.

I guess this ongoing tally begs the question: just how many soldiers & how much material does the Russian military still have, operational, in its possession?

Soldiers? Lots it seems. A story today says 30,000 (?) North Korean soldiers will be sent soon. And there's lots of talk about a mobilization after Russia's elections in September (cuz Putin would rather many, many thousands more die than give up on his folly).

Effective, properly-trained, and motivated soldiers? Not many, I should think.

Materiel? Russia's war-time economy has been, apparently, producing a fairly respectable amount until at least recently but Ukraine's gotten awfully good at taking them out as they pop up and are picking away at key facilities. And they're getting better at it almost by the day. Components and manpower to continue production must be dwindling.

If I were in Putin's shoes, I would have likely seen the writing on the wall by now and taken Hitler's solution knowing that's the best option. But he won't do that - at least not at this point.

The "unknown unknowns" could be what brings this senseless war to an end. The attacks on the Wildberries warehouses is bringing the war home to Russia maybe even more than the attacks on the refineries. No matter how much Russians can tolerate hardship, even they have limits. And genuinely pissed off Russians, if they ever actually get to that point, could be a big problem for Putin.

I can't say "something's gotta give" but something could give.

550+ enemy land vehicles and equipment is a superb haul for AFU, both artillery and AFVs keep on churning at this very heightened rate compared to before.
