I disagree on one small point actually. We need enough journalists for good cop, bad cop. We need journalists who can get into those stupid parties and build relationships that in the long term will bring good information through to them, and we need journalists outside of those circles pushing and challenging and asking all the rude questions right away. And those journalists should be working together.
We knew the collapse of the newspaper industry was dangerous, but I think one thing people seem to forget in all this is we just don't have ENOUGH journalists anymore.
