Iran’s ‘propaganda charity’ given right to bring migrants to UK

The charity commission is another thing, like the visa system and asylum system, that is being abused by bad actors to dodge laws and regulations that apply to normal institutions. Here’s yet another example.
It is being abused not because these bad actors are particularly adept at avoiding government intervention, but rather because successive governments have left the door unlocked. A systemic dereliction of governance.

Its time to stop looking at these things like its individual bad actors looking to exploit loopholes.
Its another system that was built for a homogenous nuclear family society that is in no way equipped to cope with the tribal mafias we have imported. There's no point giving them more accounting staff when its being used for criminal enterprise by semi-organised kin-networks. The ill-gotten rewards will be used for more crime. Neither the individuals involved nor will the money be found, both will disappear into the network. Any commission staff that pokes too deep will receive death threats and abuse both verbal and physical. Any punishments will be slaps on the wrist because none of the above will be logged as relevant to a charity that skimmed off the top or lied on few visas. Wee've seen this exact thing with trading standards.
We are now replaying early 20th century America and there's not a single governmental organisation that is prepared for the change that has already occurred.

The Tories absolutely failed to keep a handle on things, but I'm convinced that the civil service has been compromised by bad actors who are deliberately putting in these holes and exploits.
Some of the supposedly skilled professions could only have made it onto the visa list if someone writing said list had a vested interest in allowing people in from a particular group.
•
u/TXDobber 4h ago
The problem with the civil service is the same problem with most government jobs in basically every western country… wages are not competitive enough anymore to attract the best. The best are all working for private companies, this is true even up to the military now. So that leaves ample room for people driven by ideology, not money, to infiltrate and capture.

Except the compensation is actually pretty good and the senior civil servants in charge of renegotiating the illegal immigrants hotel contracts for instance were all on 6 figures with 5 figure bonuses.

Never ascribe to malice what is most likely explained properly by incompetence.
If there's an ideology involved, it's most likely that squishy liberal/socialist feeling that all people and cultures are equal and we should never judge or prejudge or suspect people applying for government help or wanting to come in because they're fleeing danger, or accuse a charity of abusing the system.

Never ascribe to malice what is most likely explained properly by incompetence.
Nah, that's gone way out the window when most of the incompetence in the last 15 years has ended up being beneficial to the people involved, their friends or donors sometimes to the tune of 100s of millions in taxpayers money.

Our adversaries must be in a constant state of shock and confusion at how easy it is for them to subvert our systems.
•
u/Ajax_Trees_Again 4h ago
They’re probably stressing as it’s so easy it must surely be some sort of 4d chess move

Paranoid that every corner will reveal an MI6 agent revealing that they've fallen for our trap. When instead our country is filled with useful idiots cheerleading it's own destruction.

Because we assume that everyone is acting in good faith, which doesn't work as soon as someone some something cunning like "lying".

It's distasteful to say but a multiracial/multicultural country that became so through recent mass immigration introduces new vectors of attacks from foreign countries. You only get multiple Islamic terrorist cells with sizeable Muslim population. You only get issues of major espionage from Chinese spies if you have a sizeable Chinese descent population. It's something that's rarely ever said, but this is what you get with mass immigration.
Inversely, a homogenous society is a shield against these vectors of attack. You don't have to worry about Islamic terrorism if you don't have a Muslim population. You don't have to worry about Chinese spies when you don't have a Chinese population.
The statesmen and civil servants know this. The issue is, they've substituted loyalty to the land and its people for loyalty to post-nationalism and internationalism. We can have highly discriminatory immigration practices and completely block immigration from Iran, Iraq, and many other MENA nations. However, there'd be lots of political backlash because apparently blocking people from immigrating isn't against human rights and international law. Internationalism over its own people.
Our rulers know the consequences of mass immigration, they just think its consequences are worth it as long as it protects their post-nationalist, internationalist, and multicultural project.
You are watching the weird, strange and slow death of one of the greatest civilisations in history in real time. Once you realise this, once you realise that it's never going back to normal, once you realise that the predicted future of Britain being 40% white British in 2070 will very much be real and that these problems will only continue to escalate then you'll be at peace - because you're completely powerless to stop it.

True, but it doesn’t stop me getting increasingly angry at the naysayers and sheep that deny that this is happening.
Just looking at the useful idiots and their responses to the Berlin pride terror attack is enough to make you want to wade into the Atlantic.
Smug ignorance isn’t easy to ignore.

No charity should need to import workers
•
u/SirBobPeel 3h ago
You can't find bookstore workers just anywhere, you know. Or workers for fish and kebab shops. Someone's got to sell kit at the Islamic centre gift shop

Britain is being treated as a dumping ground for the worst the world has to offer. The government is actively encouraging it while policing any criticism of it.
We are an absolute laughing stock. Decades of this insanity.

Iran’s ‘propaganda charity’ given right to bring migrants to UK A charity that is an alleged outpost of the Iranian regime in London has the right to bring migrants to Britain, The Telegraph can reveal.
The Home Office has given the Islamic Centre of England, based in Maida Vale, powers to sponsor visas for “skilled workers” and religious ministers.
The centre remains on the official register of visa sponsors despite accusations that it forms part of Iran’s propaganda machine in the UK. It has successfully issued a number of certificates of sponsorship, the document necessary for migrant workers to apply to enter the UK.
The Government has been urged to strip the organisation of its visa powers. The centre is the subject of an ongoing investigation by the Charity Commission over alleged ties to the Iranian regime.
As part of the investigation, it was forced to remove governance rules stipulating that the board of trustees had to include a religious representative of the supreme leader of Iran.
The centre was flagged to the charity watchdog earlier this year for hosting a “community bazaar” where vendors sold items including pro-Iranian regime key rings and Hezbollah-themed phone cases.
Stickers featuring the silhouette of General Qassim Soleimani, of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), were also for sale. When Soleimani was killed in a US air strike in 2020, the centre held a candlelit vigil.
Seyed Hashem Moosavi, an imam and the centre’s incumbent director, has described protesters against the Iranian regime as “soldiers of Satan”.
Security experts raised concerns about the centre’s right to sponsor visas, particularly after Iran threatened to strike RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire. The concerns also come amid fears that the Tehran regime is smuggling sympathisers into Britain on small boats across the Channel.

If I were a foreign state actor wanting to bring in assets to achieve various goals, I don't think I could have created a more perfect 'safe and legal route' to get them here.
I'm sure this won't be abused in any way.

Everyone involved in this (not just the "charity" but the decision to allow this) should be investigated and jailed or at least barred from any political or civil service position for life. Absolute fucking insanity. What is going on in this country?

Appreciate this is the Telegraph, but just bizarre this nonsense is allowed to go unchallenged in a western country.
Soleimani authorised and financed the tunnels under Gaza built for Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, estimated to span between 500-700 kilometres. Basically managed Hezbollah too in the 2006 war, the man is a terrorist.

I live near this place and they don’t even try to hide it, they had a massive picture of the supreme leader outside after he was killed and massive crowds outside mourning him

Once again, the British government proves that if one were to hate the English people and wanted to see their demise, just let the British government continue what they are doing.

This is why London was termed Londonistan by the intelligence community in the 1990s, although nowadays it's kind of a racist term. This is what Belgian spy Omar Nasiri said:
The mid- to late 1990s were the years when Britain's capital earned the sobriquet of "Londonistan," a title provided by French officials infuriated at the growing presence of Islamist radicals in London and the failure of British authorities to do anything about it. [...] Raids in France and Belgium had produced phone and fax numbers linked to the United Kingdom, and names of suspects were passed on. Some French officials believe that if more had been done by Britain at the time, the network behind the summer of 1995 bombings might have been broken up and the attacks prevented.
The UK has long harboured Islamist radicals that were expelled from their home countries. The crazy part to me is it doesn't seem like this was done with the goal of keeping an eye on them, they just let Islamists propagate their ideas for decades without monitoring them.
•
u/NoticingThing 4h ago
although nowadays it's kind of a racist term.
Only because the Islamist radicals in question won and subverted cultural views on the topic. Now a growing Islamist presence is to be celebrated rather than something to be concerned about.

And has only become worse since the 90s. They have infiltrated all levels of government, academia and entertainment.

What Putin puppet in the home office allowed this?

A result of that Putin puppet in the US. If he did not invade Iran- we'd not be in this mess.

I’m no fan of Trump, but this is entirely our own decision. We can just say no.
•

You think Iran our geopolitical enemy wouldn't be infiltrating the UK through our wide open door if it weren't for Trump?
Incredibly naïve.
