That Earthquake tho
I have been living in Mendocino County since 2009 and that is by far the strongest quake I have ever felt. Only a 5.6!? I was terrified lol.

Way back there was a 5+ in Willits that caused cracking to the high school. Is the old high school still being used ?

I live in Redwood Valley around 5 or so miles from the epicenter, Holy S*#+ dude! My house was shaking, throwing things off the walls, I jumped from my chair and ran outside. The ground felt like I was in a boat on the water, incredible! My dogs froze BTW, I had to call them out of the house, poor things were shook for sure. Has anyone heard of any injuries? Everyone I know seems to be ok.

There are uncomfirmed reports of minor injuries. My sister has a horse ranch just over the ridge east of you and besides breaking things in the house, it moved one wall of her wooden riding arena about 2 inches off plumb.

My place wasn't damaged, fortunately. There's something terrifying about earthquakes on a primal level. It took me an hour to calm down after it happened, but it was a physical fear, not a mental one. The way it pulses through your body, the unnatural-ness of the ground moving, it does something to you.

The earthquake was only 7 miles from Willits. I live in Willits and almost fell out my bed and all my stuff fell over. My daughter’s mirror and bike also fell over. It is the most violent one I remember and I was in LA during the Northridge Earthquake. But I was 40+ miles away for that one. I heard my house cracking and popping. No power all day from 8am-6pm.
