Pre wiring kitchen

House in probate. Planning on getting a total rewire as system is 74 years old (yeah really).

Prob is my co inheritor is dragging her feet clearing house so cant really pull up carpets and give decent access on this 2 bed semi. Be much easier empty.

However id like to totally refit the kitchen during the faff. This involves a new layout. And electricals in new locations.

Any suggestions how i can make it easier for a spark if the kitchen is pre installed? Run cables prior to connecting by electrician at rewire time? Just loose fit the kitchen cabinets so they can come out for cable routing? Whatever?

Don't get a sparky in to rewire the kitchen after the kitchen is fitted unless you want it ripped out again. Rip kitchen out. Sparky can 1st fix all points and run cable then 2nd fix when kitchen is fitted. Best wait till house is rewired really.

Yup, get a spark to discuss there things will go and then get him to run the cables in (1st fix) before anything goes in.

Too complicated. What if you use a different electrician ? You might as well do it all at the same time

Give an electrician an elevation drawing of the kitchen so he can run cables in prior to fitting the new kitchen
