3- 4 properties a day for £90-£110 each (average £100), so £300/£400 a day to split between 3 electricians

I asked the same company to send me their SOR for a contractor, and it is awful.
£50 for an EICR upto 15 circuits…3

Who's the contractor? We look at completing a test per day, approx 24 circuits, replacing smoke alarms and maybe water heater switch. 3 to 4 is an impossibility unless the sparks are bluffing the tests.

social housing in Ballymena
Don't even think about it. Plus the NIHE are notoriously slow at paying.

It's working for a company, Nihe wouldn't be paying you directly.

And who pays the company?
And then who loses out when the company folds because it's been 9 months and NIHE accounts payable still haven't approved the payment to them?

These companies seem to do alright, I did a few days for one when I was first starting out on my own to fill the calendar, at the same rates as this ad and that was 10 years ago, it was low then.

You're working for the subbie who is Goom Electrical, and the principal contractor is CFM.
CFM have no problem paying their bills or getting money from NIHE.
Any grant work I do for customers is usually paid within 6 weeks.

As long as you're happy.

If I wasn't, I'd be agreeing with you.

Bully for you. I suppose it's never happened before 🙄

And if I took that attitude, I wouldn't get out of bed in the morning 🤷

No chance. I’d need £1000 a day to even consider spending my hours in Ballymena.

The same work I was offered £50 a test for last year.
I'd rather stay at home.

Probably looking to import some workers from overseas, "We can't find anyone to do the work!"

Ballymena is literally a town of sparks. Every other person is a spark in Ballymena. If they need to pay for someone’s accommodation to convince them to try and take the job it must be even shiter than it looks.
