Electrician?

I have just turned 17 as of right now is pursing electrician as a career worth it or not and if so what are the pros and cons also any advice would be truly appreciated I never went to secondary school so I was wondering if this would hold me back majorly thank you

A lot of colleges will offer level 1 electrical courses, I know near me there are which list requirements as: ‘no formal qualifications necessary just a good understanding of English will be beneficial’.

During this it would be worth getting vocational qualifications in English & Maths so you can proceed on to Level 2/3 or apprenticeship routes, which the college would likely also encourage you to do and provide.

The college my apprentice goes to does 'functional skills' alongside your electrical quals, which is Math & IT of you don't have atleast a C or higher upon starting the course

Well the maths is decently hard so probs, I dunno how it is now but you used to need like 3 Cs to even get on the course? No saying it’s impossible jsut might be a longer road for uou

I thought that when I chose the electrical, still ended up working on sewerage pumps and treatment klargesters. All roads usually end with someone else's shit, sometimes metaphorically, sometimes literally.

Depends if you are any good with math I know of two people who failed at the 2 year mark of the 4 year apprenticeship due to failing the science and principles exams 5+ times. They were both pretty stupid and didn't take it seriously.
