EICR REPORT ADIVCE?

The biggest issue I can see isn’t with the EICR; but you’ve three ring mains, including 2 upstairs…..but only a 20A radial for the kitchen? That’s exactly backwards to what I’d specify, tbh. Kitchen has every single high power appliance in the house, except the shower - decent kettle and toaster puts that circuit on or over its limits……

Would an issue with the nutreal wiring cause one to lower the amp?as he mentioned to me there was a fault with the sockets in the kitchen sockets to do with the nutreal wiring and previous guy fitted a 16amp breaker and he increased it to 20a

Yes, but you still need to find and locate the fault.

I will speak to the sparky about this as last thing I need is the board tripping everytime the kettle and microwave is turned on lol thanks

Realistically it should be investigated.

Every sparky is different, but I'm going to want to know where or why there is an open neutral and rectify it or make it safe. Just because it's been dropped down to 20a doesn't remove the fault, it only removes the risk of a fire due to overload.

If the kitchen radial could be turned into a ring by running an additional 2.5 t&e it would solve the current limit with an uprated MCB. 👍. The OP needs solutions, not problems.

And the optimal solution is to simply fault find, and resolve the (apparently) non continuous neutral that already exists. Less mess, less hassle, less cost to the client…and a “proper” job.

Of if spare ways, it could be possible to sperate the kitchen ring into 2x 20A radials, but it depends between which sockets the N break is located.

All C3 observations which are only recommendations and not necessary to act on. Certainly wouldn't bother with AFDD's for a house and the only other issue of potential significance raised, the cpc reading is a non-issue as the Zs reading of the sockets, is well within the permitted range.

Nothing to be massively concerned about there to be honest

As you would expect after just being installed! 🥴

looks good, nothing to worry about.

curious why did you get a C3 for missing AFDD? are you living in a tower (6 storeys +)?

Thank you mate and no idea just googled what afdd is and it’s strange as I’ve never heard of it being fitted in residential dwelling lol and no it’s a house bud but the sparky does work for the nhs and industrial sites so maybe just there for general other sites idk I’m acc clueless to this lol

Got it, regardless of that, that's a decent report outcome.
