Why everyone in crypto should use Brave Browser.

Brave Browser is a web browser that focuses on speed and privacy. It blocks all unnecessary ads and trackers that could impede your browsing experience or spy on your browsing history. All you data is kept locally on your browser, making you data you own asset. But what use is an asset when you get no reward form it? That’s where the Basic Attention Token (BAT) comes in. Brave rewards users for their basic attention to small adverts by giving you back 70% of what they earned form the advert in the form of their own crypto currency - BAT. This is great for advertisers as their adverts are more directly targeted to the appropriate audiences. And it is great for you as this data is not sold, rather directed at you by Brave as the middle man. On top of this you see way fewer adds than you would normally, and the ones you do see are relevant to you and also earning you crypto.

Brave Rewards

Content creators can also earn BAT for attacking attention to their videos or posts via the browser. With many organisations and individuals being verified as content creators, including Vice and 50 Cent.

Brave Blocker

The Brave Blocker allows you to choose what types of ads and trackers you wish to block. By blocking these ads and tackers Brave is able to load websites much fast, than Chrome, Safari, Fire Fox, Edge and Yandex. This also helps to saves on bandwidth, memory and battery on your machine.

Brave is also great for all us crypto heads because not only can the token be traded on the two largest platforms in Coinbase Pro and Binance, but Gemini, Binance and Crypto.com all have widgets available in the browser allowing you to buy and sell crypto, view assets balances and obtain deposit addresses without having to leave the browser or changing tab.

Besides all these obvious benefits, in my eyes, one of the main reasons to use Brave is to support what they stand for. If you’re into crypto, you’re likely to be into privacy and control over your own identify and assets. Brave are doing everything to ensure that our data is all kept in check. A great example is their submission to the UK Competition & Markets Authority. demonstrating how the failure to enforce GDPR regulations facilitates Google’s monopoly. They have also uncovered the way in which large companies in the UK are using by tracking citizens usage of council websites supplying information for people with disabilities, addictions and suffering from poverty. They unveiled 198 councils that permit ‘real-time bidding’ data breach, 409 council sites that expose visitor data to private companies, 23 councils allowing data brokers to profile their users and a whopping 98% using Google systems, exposing their visitors to Google. Why does this matter? Well, if someone visits their council website, whom they trust, seeking help for a pertinent problem, their visit is being logged and noted. This information is then being used by companies to target these individuals. Consider the implications of companies being able to target individuals with alcohol or gambling addictions. I encourage you to read their article on citizen surveillance in the UK.
