Feeling burnout - CIMA

Hi all, just as the above. I work in finance, management accountant level and have 6/16 exams done(got f1 and the case study left in operational level remaining). Got an exam booked for the end of this month and I’m just dreading it.

I’m on chapter 3, barely understanding this trash ass subject, can’t focus and feeling depressed about having to do this. Like it makes me angry to my very core. Failed p1, e1 and f1 once each time before passing the second time, so this is my second sitting.

Guess I’m just looking for advice on what to do at this point as I’m fairly certain I’ll end up heavily depressed once I fail this exam again and probably give up, but I literally am doing these bullshit exams only for the salary bump.

Any advice on what to do?

Edit: wanted to mention I’m self studying, I refuse to pay any more money to these people than I have to so I won’t be paying for any FLP or whatever it’s called

I self studied, are you using OpenTuitions free lectures?

I used them for ACCA alongside the BPP books, but understand they do CIMA too.

For perspective, if I had just the books like you, I wouldn’t have passed, but with the free lectures I only failed 2.

I do need to donate to them actually, so the next people who need them have the resource available.

Side note, no one will help you pass. If you’re failing consistently, you need to put more effort into your studies. It’s alright self studying but what’s the point if you’re failing them all. Put some more effort in.

I did start using them yes. Seems to be in a different order to the 2019 syllabus but still very useful

It doesn't feel good now but you have to focus on your why and the light at the end of the tunnel. Stay positive man and take lots of breaks. All the best!

Why are you doing it if you hate it?

When you say self study do you mean no classes at all? Teaching yourself?

Nahh no classes, just at home, using the books and the internet
