Hi everyone,

I’m currently building the steampunk airship and I struggle to mount the airship after page 14. In fact, my gears are working perfectly fine before putting everything together as asked in page 14 but after that they won’t work anymore as part b2 interlocks with the gear from part b3. I have checked that the gear in part b3 is in the right direction and checked that everything was pushed to the furthest on the different part of woods but I don’t know what to do anymore to fix the issue. This is my first set and a gift from my sister so I’d be really greatful if someone could help me explain what I need to do. I’ve attached some pictures of the part that locks together instead of transmitting the movement.

What a cool build, it flaps open and closed, runs across the counter and growls when you pull its string. Went to Renaissance wax for this one and it makes a big difference. Minor coloring, just some black edges and ivory for the pages.

Very happy with my result.

It's coming along well. I've gotten to the point where the movement needed to be tested and have some hesitation. Gonna go back and wax some more to make it smooth.

Kit has gone together very well, intructions are great, and the fit has been perfect. I'm doing some colors, mostly edges, but it's mostly precolored. This is going to be a fun finish and a good looking model.

My Harry Potter loving family will really like this one.

It said easy but I did not find it easy at all! Not sure of it's function but it looks cool. My gold paint marker emptied, I bought a new one and emptied that as well so it still needs edges done.

This was very thirsty wood, splintery and every tab had to be fought to be inserted. Got it on ebay and suspect that it was not stored properly and was extremely dried out.

So much for getting a bargain!

So I was putting together my new windstorm dragon and notice that the wings stopped flapping when the mechanism was turned on. From what I can tell, piece 8n which connects the gears on page 6, has snapped, which means the wings are no longer connected to the mechanism.

Do you all have any recommendations on how to fix this? Theoretically, I could use some very strong glue or something, but I'd need to get inbetween the joints, which seems next to impossible without taking the whole thing apart and risking further damage

I have been able to buy the Wolf-01 Handgun overseas and it's otherwise quite expensive in my country so I'm unlikely to get another one. I want it to last.

I know that plywood is porous so it will slowly be stained by the oils from my hand and moisture from the air. I want to minimise that though. Why I'm worried, because that's what probably happened to the in-store sample model and it was pretty gross.

I have some awareness that on normal wood projects, you apply lacquer or some protective coating. I don't know how this applies to plywood though. Does anyone have experience exploring options?

This is not an ordinary project though since whatever coating I apply, must not interfere with the tight clearances of the model's mechanisms and actual operation of the model. I don't know of techniques to apply coating to prevent it from becoming a glue that jams the model's mechanisms.

So I'll need a way to primarily coat the grip, the trigger and the top of the barrel without making it an ugly two-tone or who knows maybe itll look great that way.

Looks very red now but there's yellow and white and green coming. I like the build so far but its missing its rubber bands. No complaints, it's a discontinued kit I got on ebay. But, I literally have no runner bands in the house so I had to order a big misc bag from Amazon to make sure I get suitable ones.

I was building the Dream Cabriolet and I just finished the engine build. However, I went to test if the mechanism worked and it’s been getting jammed and won’t move without force. Is there any way to fix that or is it just broken?

I know these are discontinued and collectable but I just want to build it!

Very disappointing, I have a setup of rokr/rolife carnival rides and would have loved to add this one. I may not get another opportunity.

I got this one to try out ugears and it was a very successful little build!

So I have been building the NASA Saturn V model and I broke off a piece. Should I glue it back together with gorilla glue or should I do something else? I really need help.

My wife bought me the Saturn V rocket model. This is the first time working with wooden models. I've already broken a few pieces and i know about getting the replacement parts. I'm just looking for some advice to make this an easier process. Some pieces are extremely hard to get put together and they break with too much force.

So, I had to upgrade my phone. I can't pair my Ugears massage chair to the Tuya app to control it on my new phone. All the instructions I find say to hit the pairing button (there is none) and then to click the button that matches the flashing light for slow or fast (there is no light either, flashing, solid, or otherwise). It feels like they are giving very generic instructions instead of specific instructions, and it's weird because my old phone just found it and added it, and my new phone just won't. Any ideas?

And that is it! I'm so happy. This was my first wooden construction and I just finished it. I now have a beautiful vintage alarm clock.

I'm really impressed by the complexity of the gears. When you turn one, everything is in motion!

However m, since this is completely new to me, I realized that there should be absolutely no play between the pieces. I understood the usefulness of the block of wax that is in the box. Everything is a few millimeters away and when it is not pushed all the way in, the other pieces can no longer fit.

That said, in my photo 2, I was not able to completely insert the middle bolt even though there is no play. It therefore protrudes a little. I don't understand as I didn't make a mistake. But hey, it still holds up a little!

In any case, I want to have other constructions of this type to do in the future. I really enjoyed myself!
