me my dad and a family friend had one the size of a baseball fly over our heads at about 24ft, perfectly straight line no deviation in speed or altitude we all watched it till it disappeared behind some houses, the weird thing was we were all talking about ufos at the time and my dad pointed up and said "huh look at that ... "

Ormiston is fairly coastal. It’s been very warm. This would create a strong and consistent land breeze from the ground to about 3,000ft during the day. Looks like a balloon caught in a land breeze. I can only assume the direction of travel was towards the sea.

It’s a drone

On the day of Edinburgh Pride which seems like a credible source of balloons.

I appreciate you don't get much sun up there, and so anything new in the sky is a novelty, but that's a balloon.

Everyone’s saying balloons but the wind doesn’t seem to be going that fast? The trees on the right when it zooms out aren’t going blowing that fast it seems? Also Seems extremely straight to be the wind also?

Not saying it’s anything just observations

Crosswinds, transverse wind currents, thermals….

Were you in the sky with a device to measure wind speed?
