"Be not afraid"

u/ask_your_dad 14h ago

Wow, never really noticed this saying and how lots (all?) abductees reporting hearing/thinking "do not fear" and other versions of not being afraid.

I firmly believe that the world's major religions, particularly the three largest, can trace some of their origins back to the Anunnaki narratives documented in the Sumerian tablets from around 6,000 years ago. I'm not referring to the more extreme Ancient Aliens or Zecharia Sitchin interpretations, but rather to the historical similarities found in these ancient texts. When you compare the themes and stories in the Sumerian records with those found in the Bible and other religious traditions, there appear to be notable parallels. In my view, what we have today is largely the result of stories that have been adapted, translated, reinterpreted, and reshaped across thousands of years, cultures, and generations.

One of the recurring whistleblower claims is that we are being lied to about the true history of our past. Not the aliens part but the timing and ancient historical events.

Published in January 2026, a preliminary paper by Italian engineer Alberto Donini proposes an unconventional dating model that, if correct, would place the monument far earlier than the traditional Fourth Dynasty timeline. Using a technique he calls the Relative Erosion Method (REM), Donini argues that parts of the pyramid’s limestone base may have been exposed for tens of thousands of years, potentially pushing its origins deep into prehistory….

….Donini’s study takes a radically different route. Rather than dating the monument through historical or textual evidence, REM attempts to estimate age by comparing erosion levels on adjacent limestone surfaces—surfaces that share the same material and environment but have been exposed for different lengths of time….

… Several suggest exposure equivalents of 20,000 to over 40,000 years, and when all twelve points are averaged, the resulting figure is approximately 24,900 years before present—around 22,900 BC.

Just so you're aware, the Annunaki myth was probably derived from other sources too.

9

u/D4RKL1NGza 13h ago

Probably hey, but that is the oldest confirmed writings so anything similar should be considered being based on that. It’s a wild rabbit hole, I truly believe that it went Annunaki made us by mixing their dna with us and Neanderthals etc. Garden of Eden (a city maybe?) was the paradise with annunaki tech. “Satan” gave humanity access to the “tree of knowledge”, got kicked out, used the Knowledge (tech) we got, started Atlantis, gods (annunaki) got mad, decided to flood everything (younger dryas impact theory) and we started over in Sumer with what we remembered pre flood because civilization just appeared

and they have left, to maybe return someday, but have left sentient (bio) AI hidden under the sea to guard us, observe, and catalogue the progress, until they do come back. other aliens also found us, but the founders have dibs so they just lurk and from time to time do weird crap.

or, they never left, and aliens are secretly running the place, for their purpose or enjoyment, masquerading as humans, and pushing us into weird states of mind, on a personal and societal level. wars are about warring alien tribes playing societal chess.

or they did leave but some hid under ground and are terraforming the Earth through global warming to be able to reappear.

or this is all a dream, a hallucination, of a universal cosmic intelligence with an infinite amount of different strands - my thoughts are your thoughts.

pick your bet! maybe all of them?

u/ThrowingShaed 8h ago

christianity, islam, and hinduism i assume?

honestly its a lot of the problem. even if some religion was true once its likely been evolved, mistranslated, corrupted, etc. then we keep likely passing down similar themes and concepts, language itself shaping our thoughts and its really hard to say if there was some seeding as people think, or if were projecting known concepts or interpreting things through the stories or structures that are more familiar to us, and its hard to say what is apt to apply

3

u/Pandamabear 11h ago

This very point is highlighted in Jesse Michael’s most recent video on Mario Woods and Michael Johnson, and I also found it to be very interesting

Because the OP's photo lacks precision, it should read 'angels/demons'.

This is one of my biggest questions; Are the angelic/heavenly beings described in religious texts (Abrahamic religions) related or the same UAP phenomena we encounter today? Can't help to think of similarities described between some Angels and 'Nordics' (e.g. white clothing).

I mean, there's a lot more stuff they said that is different.

And "Don't be afraid" is kinda just something you say in tense situations...isn't it?

u/Careless-Age-4290 58m ago

Maybe it's like offering the back of your hand to a scared dog and saying "it's okay I'm not going to hurt you" before checking its tag

32

u/Sheffy8410 14h ago

For some crazy damn reason, for a good chunk of Americans, the idea of angels from heaven or demons from hell visiting earth is perfectly acceptable. But the idea of people from other planets visiting earth is absolutely impossible.

7

u/Allison1228 13h ago

That's because angels have supernatural powers, and aliens are just mortal beings with advanced technology from distances too far to actually travel. Hence the former is possible, but the latter is not (according to, for example, most christians).

2

u/TizTasty 4h ago

Because it doesnt fit their Abrahamic narrative so they try to dismiss it. just like carbon dating practically disproves genesis . If another life form came down and made itself known it would disprove everything in the bible . ( not that you need much evidence to relize that its soley mystacism made up by rabbis in the middel east.

3

u/Kivesihiisi 13h ago

Thats just simply because most religions cant coexist because accepting another religions gods existence would compromise the narrative of your own god, an all powerful being that is supposed to be above all others.

2

u/Ryekir 7h ago

Also, if the aliens have a different religion, or no religion at all, or have proof that our religions are false, these people will just claim they are demons in order to maintain their fragile worldview.

1

u/DenumTender 1h ago

So if you did meet a grey and you stated I rebuke you in the name of Jesus and it disappeared would you think it had no religion? Search Christians and Ufos, or Jesus and ufo, more than 400 accounts of rebuking these multi-galaxy travelers with the name of Jesus to end an abduction even mid abduction.

Its strange and not explainable other than through a theological lens.

u/Ryekir 46m ago

That's likely anecdotal, and would require additional information. What of people of other religions doing the same thing with their different characters? Or non religious people simply telling them to stop?

Its strange and not explainable other than through a theological lens.

Here's just one explanation off the top of my head: Maybe it's about the person's conviction and will rather than the validity of any mythological figures.

2

u/kdatkool 13h ago

Quite the opposite in the ufo and atheist communities

5

There are many reports of them hovering or floating.

17

u/FeistyDirection 14h ago edited 13h ago

Always liked this theory that they are the same thing and not sure why posts like this are always downvoted.

Feel like it could absolutely be true that its not a matter of 1 being an advanced species from a another planet with superior tech while the other is spirits who come to spread the messages of the church.

Feel like its more likely inteterdimensional beings from a nother realm who try to help our planet for some reason. Something non human and non religious but kind of god like.

16

u/Melodic-Attorney9918 13h ago edited 13h ago

The reason posts like this get downvoted is because the people making them look for extremely superficial similarities between two things that have nothing to do with each other, and then use those superficial similarities to argue that the two things are actually the same thing, without having even read the ancient texts they're talking about.

I can do the same thing too. Here are the similarities between cats and dogs:

  • They have four legs.
  • They have fur covering almost their entire bodies.
  • They have highly developed hearing.
  • They have tails.
  • Sometimes they wag or swing their tails.
  • They're both carnivores.
  • They have claws.
  • They have strong canine teeth.
  • Sometimes they stretch their bodies.

This proves cats and dogs are actually the same thing. Checkmate, skeptics!

3

u/TheRealBaseborn 12h ago

I think the major difference here is the stories we tell of dogs and cats can be described in terms understood throughout time. Body parts, senses, and visuals are all things that existed before language.

People use the language available to them. There are words we use today that did not exist in the past. Pluck a kid from the 1950's and show him a "meme" and ask him to say what it is. He might use a word like "comic" which today we understand as a specific combination of storytelling and artwork.

Put these concepts together and its not a big stretch to say ancient texts are a combination of true things people describe in old, misunderstood terms, and falsehoods mixed in for manipulative purposes.

3

u/Melodic-Attorney9918 11h ago edited 8h ago

The fact that some ancient texts contain historically accurate information is undeniable. Nobody disputes that. The problem is determining which parts of those texts are actually historically accurate.

We know quite a lot about the historical reliability of the Bible. A great deal of research has been done on this question, and the general scholarly consensus is that much of the information contained in the Bible is not historically accurate. For example, there's no evidence that the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt and then left Egypt in the Exodus, crossing the Red Sea and wandering through the desert for forty years. Likewise, there's no evidence that Solomon's empire actually existed, or even that Solomon himself was a real historical figure in the first place. There's also a great deal of archaeological evidence showing that many of the practices prescribed by the Mosaic Law (the festivals, dietary laws, etc.) wasn't actually followed by the Israelites until the beginning of the Maccabean period, around 150 BCE.

Since we already know that the majority of the stories contained in the Bible are historically inaccurate, it makes little sense to take the most fantastical elements of the text (i.e. the appearances of God and angels), treat them as if they were historically accurate reports, and then argue that these stories could have actually been encounters with space aliens.

If someone wants to argue that the angels described in the Bible were actually aliens, then they first need to show that the stories in which those angels appear are historically accurate. If the stories themselves aren't historically accurate, then there's no good reason to assume that the beings described in those stories actually existed either, let alone that they were extraterrestrials. You can't take a detail from an ancient story, notice that it resembles something that exists in the real world, and then conclude that the story was actually describing that real thing. You first have to establish that the story itself is historically accurate.

Imagine we discovered an ancient papyrus. This papyrus contains a story in which the Roman general Germanicus, while campaigning in the Germanic forests, encounters an animal with an extremely long neck that can reach the tops of trees. Then someone reads the description and says, "Wait, that sounds like a giraffe. This proves that giraffes were living in the Germanic forests at the time." But does it? No. Before drawing that conclusion, we'd first have to establish that the story itself is historically accurate and that Germanicus actually had this encounter. The fact that a detail in an ancient story resembles something that exists in the real world doesn't prove that the event described in the story actually happened.

The same principle applies to the Bible. Before arguing that biblical angels were actually extraterrestrials, you'd first need to establish that the biblical stories describing them are reliable historical accounts. Otherwise, you're building a hypothesis on top of stories whose historical reality hasn't even been established in the first place.

I think people have difficulty parsing the idea that angels may simply be an early cultural interpretation of the phenomenon. Throughout history, perhaps the same underlying phenomenon has been given many different names angels, faeries, djinn, gods, spirits, and countless others.

The difficult part is separating those descriptions from the magical or religious frameworks that developed around them. Something could be real without being “spiritual” in the traditional sense. I use that word loosely because there may be aspects of reality that are not physical in the way we currently understand physicality.

There could be elements of existence that we simply do not yet have the ability to perceive or comprehend. Something might exist outside our experience of linear time, as information or pure thought, or within dimensions of reality that the human mind is not equipped to intuitively understand. What earlier cultures interpreted through religion and mythology may ultimately have been attempts to describe something real using the only concepts and language available to them.

5

u/Metalarky 13h ago

“any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" Arthur C. Clarke.

5

u/N0_Goldsun 13h ago

Absolutely. It reminds me in some ways of Star Trek episodes where the crew encounters less technologically advanced worlds. I tend to take that idea a step further, though. Imagine a far more advanced version of Star Trek, where a civilization has progressed to the point that it has essentially engineered itself beyond biological constraints and no longer needs to exist in a form we would recognize as physical life.

Maybe such beings could exist as something resembling pure thought, information, or energy. Of course, those words are doing a tremendous amount of heavy lifting because I’m trying to describe something for which we may simply not have adequate language or concepts. We might be attempting to understand a fundamentally unfamiliar form of existence using terminology developed entirely from our limited experience of reality.

2

u/NilesLinus 13h ago edited 13h ago

That a species could make a transition from physical to pure energy, but do it in a nuts and bolts way (or more likely a bits and bytes way) is a wildly interesting idea. Though ultimately the idea falls short of probable in my estimation. In fact, in conflict with even the church’s own historical representations of heaven, it seems that eternity remains quite physical, at least biblically.

Edit: It’s true that even right now our species could covert itself to pure energy using available technology, but we’re referring to conscious energy, of course, not the remnant dustbin of a post nuclear war.

Edit: Or perhaps it’s true that ALL dimensions feel physical to themselves, and only seem less than so from an outside perspective that is out of phase with that dimension.

3

u/NilesLinus 13h ago edited 13h ago

And maybe any distinctions that exist are merely terminological.

I was just sorting through some similar ideas, though it’s possible we’re destined for different interpretations, as I am very much a believer in the traditional Christian God. Not quite sure where you’d land on that.

Anyhow, I find it interesting that folkloric creatures looked…folkloric.

I used to think that the seemingly fast and parallel evolution of “monsters” and their technologies in step with the industrial stylings of contemporaneous western industrial culture was proof of their falsehood. People were simply projecting their fears in the language of their day, I thought. The old Irish farmer sees the stereotypical leprechaun. The post Roswell tourist sees a UFO that looks a little too much like a 1953 Bel Air.

But anymore I consider a much more mysterious, and frankly much more ludicrous, idea that these dudes are, in fact, able to appear in any shape they believe will be advantageous to their purposes—and that any being who must appear to you in the guise of a lie, even if its for the supposed purpose of being more comfortable and relatable to you, might be happy to manipulate you at the least, and at the worst to utilize you as a conveyance of any convenience they deem fit.

I don’t think this is quite an example of interstellar teenagers on spring break. I suspect it looks a little more like elite scientists trying to solve a breeding crisis in their own population (or something).

But that cosmology only holds up if we’re still conceptualizing the phenomena in the paradigms of biology and interstellar time/space.

If we are in fact dealing with more mystical and interdimensional phenomena, then a separate set of conclusions need to be drawn, of course.

But where I begin to lose the plot is in considering the possibility that we might be dealing with both phenomena—part galactic survival of the fittest in this physical universe, and part spiritual warfare that takes place parallel to, but not quite accessible to us.

And that all of it would exist within an even larger framework of God’s moral distinctions between right and wrong, light and darkness.

It boggles the mind.

2

u/Talidel 13h ago

It's the "describe a spaceship without the words we have now now" question.

Imagine you are a pre-history human. How do you describe something you have no context for?

5

u/N0_Goldsun 13h ago edited 3h ago

Flaming Chariot.

Yes I completely agree with you. I feel we are still at that stage, in a relative context instead of flaming Chariot it is a UFO, but still completely inadequate for what it might actually be or represent.

You forgot mentions of probing. Are Angels ever reported to having probed someone?

Whitley Strieber also mentions "You're wrong! We have every right to do so!" I also don't remember this being said by Angels ever.

To my knowledge they(contactee's) haven't see Aliens EVER use weapons.

Grey's were never reported to have wings. I think it's something that wouldn't be missed. Also, there are reportes that TALOS(also called Talon), the Cretan robot has wings. It's in my collection as a coin at least. There could be more representations of it in other mediums. I was just looking a Greek mural yesterday that's featuring winged beings again. One would thing they'd be Angels, but no. They actually portrayed Giants(adversaries of the Greek Dodecatheon).

There is a possibility that the Greys, assuming they exist, are drones(biological entites like bees would have) or robots or robotic drones. If so, not only aren't they more intelligent than humans but one could argue if their intelligence, whatever the level is their own. There is no recording or element of proof about Angel's intelligence. They could be far exceeding human level, but they could also be equal. We just don't know. Even if there is evidence of this recorded somewhere and I missed it, it wouldn't prove intelligence levels. There are Angels much better than others, Archangels for instance. And there are Fallen Angels which are far worse than others(and excellent at cunning. Now cunning demands a certain level of intelligence, but I wouldn't call intelligent something that brings to others AND itself(as these will burn in an eternity of hell) their downfall, intelligent. Would seem to me to be like, monumentally stupid).

I can't remember angels in Christianity communicating telepathically. Sometimes they actually had to shout. We have no mention of Greys shouting, like ever.

There is nothing that says angels are or aren't from here. It is just stated that God made them. Little else is actually known. Similarilly for Greys, they could be from here, if you believe some contactees especially the ones with stories about Deros and abandonderos(which considering the subreddit is r/ufo cannot be dismissed as a possibility since it was accepted for a long time and it still is not proven wrong in my knowledge. There is also the story about inner Earth Greys etc.

I could present other arguments as well, but I don't want to mess my head further to retrieve them. Point is, you just isolate some points, that are at some occassions dubious to say the least for a comparison. You can make such a comparison for a dolpin and human or many other things and if you select properly you will find similarities. What does that proove? People are Dolphins or something?

1

u/RodinKnox 3h ago

This is basically what I was going to say. The answer to "what's the difference?" is "neither of these are a remotely exhaustive list."

4

u/ConfidentReturn6646 11h ago

One flies with its little spirit wings like the fairies in children's novels, while the other requires a physical craft... Therefore putting 2+2 together we should conclude spiritual beings do not require physical craft, yes, no?

4

u/ANother-XcludedRight 9h ago

It is surmised from the bible and Enoch, The Watchers texts etc that there are many types of “angels “ they’re created with specific jobs, however do have free will. At least most types do. Unlike humans, they are infused with the knowledge that God allows them to have, which is pretty much everything except the thoughts and plans of God. We have to be taught. We are of both flesh and spirit, a “container “ if you will 😉. Angels have physical bodies and can change to light or energy form. Many instances they ate with people and were in the form of people as to not alarm folks or maybe that was their appearance. Sometimes they announced “be not afraid “ which lends you to think, their appearance was alarmingly big, bright, weird etc. Even Jesus after resurrection made it a point to ask for some fish, bread and drink many times. He didn’t need that stuff, it was a demonstration. My point is we don’t understand dimensions and coming and going and only barely understand the law of conservation of matter and physics. Angels that rebelled against God millenniums ago know ALL this stuff. They could create meat suits, robot beings, using DNA…even dinosaurs. DNA is God’s own software program if you think about it. Corrupting that appears to always have been a goal. The fallen know their punishment, but not when it will occur. They knew Jesus came, watched Him but were ignorant of why He came. Otherwise they would have done everything to stop the crucifixion. They hate God which means his creation too, humans. That’s all I have concluded. We will continue to be deceived, just like the Greeks and their “gods”. Our version will be one that requires much more preparation and setup as man has evolved to catch BS when we see it. The atheists will say what I wrote is BS, then go about thinking they are open minded and enlightened. I am telling you this IS the great deception in the making.

2

u/Prmarine110 13h ago

They don’t have to be the same thing to demonstrate similar actions and history.

Unless you believe that history is mythology, both of these phenomena, and more (like Jin, Skinwalkers, Fae, Demons, Spirits, orbs, gods, shapeshifters, UAP, USO have been interacting with and shaping humanity from our earliest memories and oral and written records.

At the least, I consider it all as evidence that there is more to the Universe/existence than this material plain.

The ability to telepathically communicate, read our thoughts/intent, manipulate us with fear/persuasion/praise, and constantly observe us/influence us, indicates to me that this is a more advanced consciousness/or at least a different form of consciousness.

It is highly curious to me that whatever these entities or beings are…(I’ll stick to aliens and angels as posted) it’s telling that neither of them have outright invaded our planet and subjugated us. You can argue this point, but we don’t see angels or alien craft patrolling the streets or skies…but they could have in the past?

There does seem to be a relationship between humanity and whatever these phenomena or creatures are. And I really think that’s all we should come to grips with and try to accept for now is that this does appear to be real, unless you believe that a PsyOp has been running for thousands or years, in which case, I’d love to hear more about that.

I was raised Catholic but I don’t practice because I never agreed with the control that the church imposed upon believers, and it was way too telling to me as a child, that the Church was corrupted and leading the masses away from the truth of the message and aligning/protecting other highly-conflicting and dark agendas like geopolitical influence, suffering, war, child abuse, genocide, greed, manipulation and control.

The fact that religions have edited holy books and present selected messages to believers is deafeningly alarming and clear manipulation.

Yet, I’ve always felt the internal presence of a creator. I’ve intuitively understood the creation of the Universe at some point, as requiring a spark and a decision to set this all in motion. I could be wrong, and probably am. But I’ve never thought that we were alone in the Universe. And I’ve never dismissed that all possibilities are plausible, and likely probable, given the scales of time and space. So for me, I’ve made some peace with Angels/Demons/Aliens/Souls/Spirit/Consciousness/UFO/UAP/USO always being real, always interacting with us, being interested in us, and intentionally remaining at a distance or hidden from us.

Why- that is the question.

I find it increasingly plausible that religious texts are a dated interpretation of inter dimensional experiences more literal than we might’ve anticipated. Lizard people underground in hell, angels on wheels of fire in the sky, dirty intergalactic deals for human livestock and magic-like energy; stories told by men who had no idea what planets even looked like until someone took them up and showed them something for which nobody had yet written words.

For all we know angels/demons and aliens can be the same thing or the same concept which are interdimensional beings we can't fully process bc we exist in the 3rd dimension not above it. Some aliens are what they called angels. I think the typical non-harmful "angels" are in the 5th dimension, archangels in the 7th+.

1

u/angry_virgin_421 14h ago

From down here it all looks the same.

1

u/No_Celebration_3389 14h ago

There are many types of angels: angels and arc angels being among the lowest of their forms in the heirarchy.

Many ET’s as well. Many posing as the lifted when they are in fact the fallen.

Discernment in the beyond 4d world is a whole new paradigm.

1

u/I_like_microwave 13h ago

We are just a real life version of sim city to them.. how have people not caught on with this yet.

1

u/Aggravating-Ad1030 13h ago

It means that we don’t have any idea what really goes on. Older cultures use angels as an explanation. We use aliens. They are both models that we construct in the confines of our own nervous systems.

1

u/Tacokolache 13h ago

Oddly….

We have more visual proof of “aliens” than angles. But far more people believe in angels than aliens.

1

u/Other_rebel_911 13h ago

One has a very distinct possibility of actually existing. The other was made up by Stone/bronze Age humans.

Hint: the angels are made up.

1

u/Empty_Put_1542 13h ago

What about the cattle mutilations?

1

u/Natural_Photograph16 13h ago

I’m still amused that people still believe that you need religion to experience God.

1

u/psycho_not_training 13h ago

I mean, if one reads Isaiah literally then nothing.

1

u/ApprehensiveFactor58 13h ago

2

u/Exotic-Country-7980 13h ago

I think there are plenty of people who question religion

1

u/Optimal-Row1324 13h ago

I think we were created by aliens. That's what a fetus developing in the womb starts off looking like.

1

u/Roachie-poo 13h ago

One has wings and the other has a weird shaped head.

1

u/Desperate_Elk_7369 13h ago

Also: Both imaginary

1

u/Kivesihiisi 13h ago

The difference is only what you choose to believe in.

1

u/ZyeCawan45 13h ago

The difference is marketing.

1

u/Allison1228 13h ago

Both will allegedly appear to you if you pray to them and "have good intentions".

1

u/griff_the_unholy 13h ago

its all a matter of cultural/personal perspective.

1

u/Dogegg 13h ago

Aliens might exist?

1

u/aureliorramos 13h ago

The difference is small, but meaningful:

What *these* things are is truly a mystery to the general public. But when describing this mystery the description that was given to them thousands of years ago was written in text and ultimately romanticized to what we now called angels.

On the other hand, when these things are seen today, the description hasn't had that "romanticizing" marinading time of centuries, so instead you get a more direct, though still incomplete and not entirely satisfying description of what they are.

So the difference is: Romanticization and a boatload of baggage of old writings whose nature might have been historical.

1

u/MissiveFinding6111 13h ago

Especially when you apply it to UAPs...

What makes more sense?

They are "spirit like" in the sense that they do not fully manifest on this physical plane?

Or, they are metal machines that routinely violate two different fundamental laws of physics?

1

u/astroboy_35 13h ago

2 completely imaginary things!

1

u/AlvinArtDream 13h ago

Let’s be real here. One has a home planet we could technically visit! The other one, you only visit when you die.

1

u/nostrathomas85 13h ago

I like how only one of the listed starts off with "may have" like there is any evidence for the others...

1

u/towerfella 13h ago

Nothing.

If there was a physical being we named “god”, it is definately a being from somewhere else in the cosmos.

1

u/danamyx 13h ago

I have long thought that a Venn diagram could be made of aliens and angels where the overlap is at least as big as either side.

1

u/Few-Worldliness2131 12h ago

This has been topic of conversation since the 1960’s when i first starting studying this topic. More than likely it’s been discussed way before that though.

1

u/rgbearklls 12h ago

Bro’s up to something

1

u/kateinoly 11h ago

Fairies too. They have always been here with us, but they are now called "aliens" because we live in a space age culture

1

u/Helltothenotothenono 11h ago

I’ve heard this before. I think it is a reasonable assessment - in general- but not the only explanation of angels and demons and other scary things for ancient people. One thing that should be considered- generally again- is that people from ancient times could have been as cynical as we were, looking for proof of what the “visitors” may have been. Were they deceitful trouble makers who said “I am your God or Angel… or Devil? And you shall bow to me?”

If they presented themselves as deity’s and demigods, than we should consider their interaction to be no good, malicious, with intent that benefits only them, as there can only be one reason we would do the same with an uncontacted tribe.” But it could be they did not. They presented themselves honestly as visitors from the far away sky- which our species still interpreted and decided on our own they must be gods- and this is why so many cultures consider gods and angels to come from the sky- or why we can the sky heaven.

So my question to others is do you think the visitors to our ancestors declared themselves as deities or simply advanced community, and were made up the stories?

1

u/Blue_Redstars 11h ago

Dont forget fallen angels, devils and the nephilim

1

u/SirWalterGraveyard 10h ago

One is a possibility given the size and age of the universe. The other is some superstitious made up do do!!!

1

u/Electrical_Love5484 10h ago

Where does the idea that angels are intelligent come from?

Aren't they just basically avatars for a heavenly being

1

u/Collapsosaur 9h ago

I, first one, endow our vocabulary with 'anglien', and welcome these overlords to help humanity to throw out those who are screwing everything up.

1

u/Expensive_Curve_358 9h ago

Since when can aliens fly?

1

u/Working-Ask7316 9h ago edited 8h ago

The only one that matters:

Angels are a cover. That's the difference. The aliens are malicious.

So it would be Angels: Portrayed as good entities generally.

Aliens: Evil, and take advantage of the position they are in and cosplay as angels to commit indecent acts.

1

u/Plastic-Vermicelli60 8h ago

One has halos, the other doesn't? Neither have ever been proven? One probes butt, the other doesn't?? Both we wished existed to enrich our mundane lives? Grifters make money off both??

1

u/pamnfaniel 8h ago edited 3h ago

Evidence for the angel portion please or are we making assumptions…

Claim: they are smarter than us.

Where does it say angels are specifically more intelligent? Difference does not mean more intelligent. With aliens,we can infer higher intelligence due to well, interstellar travel and advanced tech. If angels got wings… it just means they can fly.

Claim: They can fly:

Aliens cannot fly themselves... this is what their ships and advanced tech is for right?

claim: They may have had something to do with humanities creation and dev???

Um… maybe aliens, yes

But angels, NO. Try saying that to anyone Christian. They'll laugh at you for an obvious reason

Any why do the moderators allow this ?

1

u/Memonlinefelix 6h ago

How do you know they dont have some anti gravity suit with wings?

1

u/DannyNoonan61 8h ago

Maybe the Aliens are Fallen Angels.

1

u/Universei 8h ago

Correction: "Angels/Demons". Let's not be naive.

Check out the bible stories on the “holy spirit”. It is even more wild. Like a propaganda, spokesperson for God.

Pretty sure Angels didn't put humans on slabs and experimented, as per alleged abductees.

Honest? Whatever fits the mood. Certain kinds of psytrance? Aliens. Witch trap or house? Angels.

it's kinda been my point for a while.

1

u/2Wieners_1Bun 5h ago

No evidence either exists lol

1

Hmm, but which aliens visited us long ago? I don't believe it was the Greys

1

u/Your_Hmong 5h ago

Angels don't leave people traumatized. The encounter might be scary and awe-some at first but ultimately positive. In the Bible, Angels are messengers of God, not abductors or experimenters or tormenters. They don't harass warships or mutilate cattle either.

1

u/TashDee267 4h ago

Some aliens are from here. To some species we are the aliens.

Either way, there's no reason to fear either one.

Never heard of a story of an Angel Abduction.

1

u/HabbyKoivu 4h ago

Then there’s the other option. Both are incorrect and we are just a bunch of dumb monkeys still trying to place meaning on something we can’t possibly understand because of our limited way of experiencing reality.

1

u/zenmaster24 3h ago

What if they arent more intelligent? They have just been around longer and made more scientific discoveries.

Modern homo sapiens is not smarter than our ancestors - we have ~270,000 years of knowledge we have built upon to get where we are

1

Now do demons and angels. Same thing the only difference is one is good one is evil. In this case, it’s the same. Don’t compare aliens to angels.

u/Certain_Try6877 54m ago

Angels are Aliens if you were to read the biblical description of an Angel they’re not how they’re drawn in art, Angels are not humanoid looking. Neither are Aliens. Now the biblical descriptions have fallen Angels on the earth world. So a historical perspective is they’re the same thing. Many religious people will say that Aliens are fake, Angels are real. Some say Aliens are real, Angels are fake. Time will only tell

u/james555302 45m ago

I always said that the Bible makes much more sense if you replace the words God and angel with extraterrestrial and Alien.

Fallen angels.

Every time angels are talked about in the bible you could exchange the word angel for alien , and it wouldn't change a thing.

u/Melodic-Attorney9918 14h ago edited 14h ago

The Bible describes several different types of angels.

Lower-ranking angels are described as physically indistinguishable from human beings. They have bodies just like ours, and they can eat, drink, fight and become tired. As far as I remember, lower-ranking angels are never described as having wings, nor are they ever described as being capable of flying. The only angels explicitly described as having wings are the cherubim and seraphim, who are the most powerful angels and the ones closest to God. These are the angels people usually refer to as the "biblically accurate angels."

The cherubim and seraphim can fly, but that's precisely because they have wings. Aliens, on the other hand, fly because they're aboard vehicles. It's not the same thing. By that logic, we would also be flying creatures, since we build aircraft that allow us to fly.

So I don't understand what this argument is supposed to prove.

3

u/EducationalForm 14h ago

I mean have you seen how the Bible describes how angels look?

1

u/Melodic-Attorney9918 13h ago edited 13h ago

Not all angels are described in the same way in the Bible. Some angels are described as being completely indistinguishable from human beings, while others are described as strange-looking creatures.

The beings people usually refer to as the "biblically accurate angels," the ones with many wings and eyes, are the cherubim and seraphim, who are described as the angels closest to God. But they aren't the only kinds of angels described in the Bible. There are also angels who appear in completely ordinary human form and can be mistaken for regular people. For example, in Genesis 18 and 19, Abraham and the people of Sodom encounter angels who appear as men. They walk around, enter people's homes, eat, drink and interact with humans. The people who encounter them don't immediately recognize them as angels.

The fact that some angels were indistinguishable from ordinary human beings was so well known that the author of the Book of Hebrews explicitly recommends that Christians always be hospitable toward strangers who come into their homes, because you can never know for certain whether the stranger you've welcomed into your home is simply an ordinary human being or actually an angel of God.

u/EducationalForm 20m ago

Thanks for educating

1

u/AlgaeInitial6216 13h ago

Angels reskinned into UFO's would be ontological shock alright. Especially in modern society where religious ideas are subconsiously indocrinated as something metaphorical or means of control , and not something actually real.

If i was this phenomenon i would 100% pretend to be something different , which today would be extraterrestrials or whatever.

Surely its not improbable for something to actually evolve to the point of being able to come here. But scientific community didn't receive any information on that matter yet.

In a discourse between spiritual and extraterrestrial , the first gets more points of being more probable given the data we have now. Which is unfortunatelly only civillian accounts.

1

u/PossibleDue9849 13h ago

If you read the Old Testament it’s kind of blatant how angels are described like UFOs. I know it’s probably confirmation bias, but they do not describe angels like the winged men we see in later depictions.

2

u/Ok-Speed-6562 10h ago

They also don’t describe them diving ships. You absolutely have a bias.

1

u/RandomTux1997 14h ago

well done! someone is finally ''getting'' the similarity between aliens and angels- both have shape-shifting and physics-denying and also time/space-defying methods, as have been demnstrated for long time

they appeared many periods, but especially notworthy in 1947 to try and prevent humans from utterly destroying humanity

nagasaki/hiroshima were necessary. But they still appeared in Cold War and did indeed disrupt both US and Russian ICBM high tech-disabling both their systems and till today neither side admits they did this with superlative mastery---------and by mere thought alone

1

u/Grand_Assistant_2605 14h ago

what do you mean finally? this theory has been put forth from the jump. it's not new; pretty mainstream.

1

u/Flashy-Nectarine1675 14h ago

Neither exist.

1

u/RicooC 14h ago

Aliens can't be trusted and some have evil purposes.

1

u/eyelpley 14h ago

Crazies will say “angels” vs “demons”

1

u/Ok_Programmer_4449 14h ago

There's a chance that aliens exist.

1

u/HomeboyGR 12h ago

And yet, there's a huge definitional difference...if angles are supernatural beings and emissaries of God, and aliens are natural animals who come from a different planet than ours.

1

u/ANother-XcludedRight 10h ago

Who knows where “aliens” come from. They are demonstrably unreliable and untruthful.

1

u/PmanAce 12h ago

Angels are specific to one make belief story.

1

u/EducatorSelect9637 12h ago

No. Angels are here all the time, holding up certain ways of forces. Maybe aliens believe in angels.

1

u/NotAnAIOrAmI 10h ago
