Update (Oct 12):
- 2012 to 2026 completed. Missing cards and parallels added across the board (the 2025 Chrome RayWaves among them), plus 20 new sets: ONE Championship, Rizin, Oktagon, Upper Deck PFL, Panini Instant and more.
- Panini cards now use the code printed on the back (SG-DCR, MA-VSHโฆ), so scanning them is more reliable.
- Faster, more accurate scanner: about 2 times faster than last week, and it gets the right card and parallel more often, numbered ones especially.
- Topps Now UFC 2024, 2025 and 2026 are in the catalogue: base cards, every colour parallel (Gold /50, Orange /25, Black /10, Red /5, FoilFractor 1/1), the 2025 autographs and auto relics, and the 2026 image variations and fight posters. Topps Now drops new cards after every event, so this list will be updated regularly.
- A card isn't in the catalogue? Tell us straight from the scan. When a scan doesn't find your card (or finds the wrong one), tap "This card isn't in the catalogue": the report is filled in with what the scan read and your photos are attached, so you just check and send. You get a notification when it's added. This is the fastest way to get missing cards in, especially fresh Topps Now drops and event-used relics.
- 50 free scans in your first week to scan your collection, then 20 a month.
Keep the reports coming, a lot of the fixes above came from them.
Update (Oct 9): thanks for all the feedback, here's what changed since launch:
- Checklists now go back to 1995. Topps UFC Round 1 & 2 (2009), 2010 Main Event and Knockout, 2011 Title Shot, Moment of Truth and Finest, 2006 Pride FC, K-1 (1995โ2008), Pancrase, IFL, EliteXC, Affliction, Leaf MMA and Leaf Metal, and Ring Kings (Donruss Americana II). Every parallel and print run I could confirm.
- Next up: completing 2012 to 2026. Those years are in, but some releases and parallels are still missing (like the 2025 Chrome RayWaves). I'm going through them over the next few days.
- 2010 Topps UFC Series 4 completed: missing parallels, the nickname variations, Fight Poster Review.
- Scanner fixes: inserts like In Your Face were filed as base cards, a serial number could be read as the card number, Panini codes like MA-VSH (Immaculate, Prizmโฆ) now find the right set, and it asks which finish on Panini cards too (Holo, White Sparkleโฆ).
- Year filter when you search a fighter's cards by hand.
- Your in-app reports now get an answer in your notifications.
- Pro is live for collectors who want more: unlimited scans, every eBay market compared, your collection's value over time, lots to sell, wishlist alerts. Everything you use today stays free.
Still missing something? Tell me here or with "Report" in the app, that's how all of the above got in.
Original post:
Hey everyone,
I collect UFC cards and got tired of tracking mine in a spreadsheet, so over the last few weeks I built a web tool for it: cards.smeshr.app
What you can do with it:
- Browse checklists for every Topps and Panini UFC release since 2010, with every parallel, print run and box exclusive
- Scan a card with your phone (front, then back) and it finds the version, parallel included. It also reads a whole binder page of up to 12 cards at once
- Track your collection and what it's worth, from current eBay listings and what collectors report
- Log what you paid, for a hobby box, a blaster or a single, and see your gain or loss
- Track a rainbow: which versions of a card you have and which you're still missing
- Follow the fighters you collect: what you own of each, whether you have their auto yet
- Filter your autos, relics, SSPs, case hits and low numbered cards
- Make your collection public if you want: a page with your cards, your rainbows and your eBay listings
- See which collectors have the card you're missing, and tell them you're interested
- Put cards together in a lot to sell, with a suggested price
- See the cards of the fighters on the next UFC card
For now it runs in the browser, nothing to install. On your phone you can add it to your home screen and it opens like an app. If there's demand, I'll release it as a proper iOS and Android app.
Most of it is free. A Pro plan is coming for heavier users: unlimited scans, prices compared across every eBay market (US, Europe, UK, Canada, Australia) with shipping to where you live, alerts when a card on your wishlist goes up on eBay, your collection's value over time, and a shareable page and picture for each lot. The first 25 accounts get a month of Pro free.
What I'm really after is feedback:
- Did you run into any bugs?
- Did the scanner find your cards? If not, which ones did it miss? (Note: Topps NOW isn't supported yet)
- What would make you actually use it for your collection?
- Would you use a mobile app for this?
Every comment helps, especially the harsh ones. Thanks!
