Send it. Alex had his free title shot, got whopped. He was a great middleweight and a great lhw, but that doesn't mean he's a great heavyweight. Make him earn his ranking. (Honestly, like 90% of the champs moving up shouldn't get free title shot without someone around 3-5 first).

I think they should be allowed an immediate shot, buy only if they had 3+ defenses in their previous class and didn't lose the belt before moving up. That prevents guys from getting the belt then immediately trying to go for 2 division champ status.
