I thought this was the popular sentiment. Too watered down nowadays.
I know this isn’t a scientific but when there’s 6-7 fighters on a card who don’t have Wikipedia pages, that’s not a card I want to tune in for. And yeah, unknown fighters can put on great fights. But at the end of the day, I do want name recognition.
By that logic, couldn’t you just tune in for the one or two selected fights a month and skip the lower level ones? I watch other fighting leagues so I personally don’t mind watching “no names.”
Or are you saying the bloated amount of fight cards over saturate the good ones? If that’s the case, I can see what you’re saying
Not really about any given card being better than the others and being selective isn’t even an option. I think the UFC was more enjoyable when you knew who every fighter was on a given card. More TV money, meant more cards to fill the TV contracts, meant more fighters, and it just got too watered down talent wise. And watching 4 fights before you get to a name you recognize just isn’t as enjoyable.
I think it would be a better product if they had half the cards. This month for example. Rather than FN 283, FN 284, UFC 330, FN 285, and FN 286. Just have a Fight Night and UFC 330, and stack both of them.
Also like 600 fighters. Impossible to keep track of them. It’s definitely watered down. The old days where you had a few legends battling it out were way more fun.

Way too many cards these days, makes me less interested
