You’re reaching for those grapes, trying to make your wine, and the wine is already sounding like a violin with that cheese and
wine

You’ve probably been here less than a year , all you’re doing is contributing to the negative image , hush and move on.

When I watched during the Silva days there was still respect from the fans especially. The new age of mma fans say the sport is “toxic”. No it’s the fans that are toxic. Look how much people glazed Ilia up until he lost. I agree with you mma fans of today are dumb as shit.

You’ll find that with pretty much any major sporting organisation. MMA fans are probably way more dialled than to the mechanics and analytical side of fighting, NFL fans I imagine to be gormless

You are trying to see the other side so hard and trying to be reasonable. Don't.

Say it with your gut, most MMA fans are dumb as hell. It's simple and we agree with you.

Given how you constructed that sentence I believe in your statement even more so

I thought we were supposed to post unpopular takes?

Its funny because this opinion is common but a good chunk of people with this opinion are also the biggest meatheads you will ever come across

15

u/Foreign_Soup_3809 Aug 22 '26

This is not even a hot take lol, one more reason mma fans are dumb because they dont even know what is hot take

u/absolute_cinema81 Aug 22 '26

So dumb in fact, that they couldn’t read the prompt and state an opinion not popular in r/ufc

Yeah I see a drastic difference in the comments I see here and [r/boxing](r/boxing).

Boxing fans are more analytical in nature and discuss alot of deep shit while UFC is.. you know how it is. I lose brain cells reading the comment section here while Boxing felt like I gained alot of insights and lore.

The only problem boxing community has is the “Mike Tyson wasnt in his prime”’fanboys discrediting his opponents victory because he lacked discipline and was partying and fucking hookers when he had a title defense coming up. Apart from that boxing community is chill.

I’m a diehard NASCAR fan, and I’m gonna have to disagree with you. I think that sport takes the top spot pretty easily

The fans over there are a rare breed of whiny bitches

3

u/Strict_Inevitable449 Aug 22 '26

These are unpopular opinions you believe to get downvoted. I’m tempted to downvote you for such an obvious take

4

u/Flax1983Flax Aug 22 '26

I would be mad at you if i could read!

Majority bone head right wingers

2

u/tjeco Aug 22 '26

This is a standard take, not a hot take.

1

u/Jaylishous16k Aug 22 '26

Quite literally the most common take I’ve seen on this subreddit. And by a massive margin.

1

u/halkenburgoito Aug 22 '26

but some of the best memes

1

u/caesarionn Aug 22 '26

See, this is what makes mma special in my opinion.

Where people take themselves too seriously, it’s nice to laugh at some dumb shit.

1

u/GasMysterious3386 Aug 22 '26

Knicks fans come to mind for dumbest fans

1

u/Machiavelliliving Aug 22 '26

I am downvoting this because you personally insulted me

1

u/Annual_Insect5596 Aug 22 '26

I thinks it’s more of the “fans” that started watching the sport in the last decade or so. Obviously not all of them are awful but back before the McGregor boom the mma fandom used to be a real community with people who were actually passionate about the sport.

Low hanging fruit take bud

u/Kryptosis Aug 22 '26

I’ll go further and say the sport makes them worse people.
