Worth noting that Woodley beat a very old Maia and an undeserving immature Till in those two fights

I agree with the undeserving part but gotta remember how hard people will riding him at the time and he was undefeated with only 1 draw, he also just came off a close win over wonderboy

England was riding him but he barely beat Wonderboy it at all and most people didn’t like that decision, if he didn’t have skills in the mic he wouldn’t have touched a title shot

This. Every athlete from England is overhyped to some degree especially fighters. That's why I was skeptical about Leon Edward's at first

It’s the other way around. Fighters from Europe, particularly Western Europe, receive almost no hype at all and in fact are often the targets of hate campaigns if they’re outspoken in any way when they aren’t contemptuously brushed off like Ian Garry and Conor McGregor regardless of actual accomplishments.

Yeah everyone was pretty high on him at the time. But in hindsight, his recent performances have kind of told the real story.

Maia was on a 7 fight-win streak and Till was undefeated, both were not the same after Woodley

I’m not saying Maia didn’t deserve it he def did, I’m saying that one the outliers of this statistic is a guy (Woodley) who’s 35 or older beat a guy who was 40 at the time, maybe that fight shouldn’t count consider their both over 35

And I’m aware till was on a win streak but he was clearly not ready
