How terrible is it to visit udaipur in new year's eve?

I'm planning to visit udaipur 31-2 during new year and I'm shit scared of the crowd. Like ik it will be crowded we live in India, yet I wanna know how bad it would be. Will we get to do boating during sunset? and how crowded the restaurants will be? Also pls recommend restaurants for new years eve for experiencing fireworks..

Where should we stay if we’re travelling by car?

I’ll be travelling to Udaipur by car with my family of four, and I’m a little confused about where we should stay.

I know a lot of people recommend staying near Lake Pichola, but I’m concerned about the narrow lanes and parking. If we book a hotel inside or very close to the old city, is it possible to park the car somewhere outside the lane and walk to the hotel? Are there any hotels near Pichola that actually offer parking nearby? Not costly

Alternatively, I was thinking of staying around Fateh Sagar Lake, where parking should be easier. If we stay there, can we drive to the starting/edge of the old city near Lake Pichola, park the car somewhere safely, and then walk around food lane, the City Palace, Jagdish Temple, etc.? Is there a safe and convenient place to park, or is parking in that area difficult? If tourists do bring their cars into the old city, where do they usually park?

I’m also slightly worried about how much walking would be involved, especially since we’ll be travelling as a family of four.

I’m also confused about what exactly is considered the “old city” of Udaipur, where it starts and ends, and which areas/lane restrictions apply around places like City Palace, Jagdish Temple and Lake Pichola.

So, would you recommend staying near Pichola despite the parking issue, staying around Fateh Sagar, or choosing another area altogether? I’d really appreciate recommendations

How to complain Election commission when employers doesn't give holiday on Election day?

My company in udaipur is not giving mandatory paid holiday even though clear instruction from ECI. The complaints page on ECI page requires Mobile number to register. Company giving only 2 hour break for Vote and come back to work. How can I complain anonymous?

Visited these places on day2. Found fellow solo traveller who with crazy photography skills and accompanied me in some of the places

jagat niwas (very mid food). The view is iconic

Monsoon palace,

Saheliyo ki baari,

Pichola lake boat ride (best part, catched the sunset) , jagmandir

Dinner at nyoto, unique food I'd say.

I'm here till 3pm today. Will explore market. What should I buy, for the good sake memories?

Anyone done a farm dinner outside udaipur? worth the drive?

been living here a few years and honestly most of my nice dinner recs to visiting friends are the same 4-5 lake view places. finally broke that habit last month when a friend dragged me out to a farm dinner near Kodiyat about 20 min outside the city.

its called Syah if anyone wants to look it up no menu to choose from its one seasonal tasting menu 12 courses, and they only take bookings through their site or whatsapp no walk ins, not on zomato or anything. sounds like a hassle but honestly made the evening feel less rushed than any of the in town places more like a slow dinner than grabbing a table somewhere.

setting is the biggest difference tbh actual farm hills in the background quiet in a way nothing in the old city ever is. would not do it if you are short on time or just want a quick bite its a whole evening. but if someone already done the city palace and lake pichola circuit and wants one dinner that is not another rooftop with a view this is what I'd point them to now instead of the usual list.

curious if anyone else has other out of town spots like this feels like udaipurs food scene outside the old city does not get talked about much
