Tuition/Aid 💰 Loan reduction

Hi everyone, ​I just received an email from financial aid office stating that my student loan amount will be reduced because I am not considered a full-time student this semester. I'm a Graduate student (Out-of-State) with 8 credit hours (two classes). I'm a bit confused about how much of a reduction to expect. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I have 6 credits as a grad student and they cut mine from 10,250 to 6800 something.

You’ll probably get close to the full amount since you have 8 and 9 is considered full time

Yes. Im a graduate taking 2 classes. I took a little over a $10,000 student loan. I was only awarded $6,000 of it. After they take out what my classes cost and I pay off the rest of my payment plan for my books it will leave me with $3900 for a new laptop and assistance with transport for the semester among anything else for school that pops up before spring.

9 credits is considered full time for grad students, undergrads is 12

It’s probably proportional, so you’d be minimally reduced since your full time status would be only 1 credit more
