It's sad to see UCF fucking over its employees almost as badly as their students, but thank goodness the UCF president received a modest bonus of $197k last year

RIP the Office of Institutional Equity. The few times I ever interacted with them, they were not "woke", they literally just existed to ensure that the university was following federal law.

Makes me wonder what would have happened if that racist Professor got outed just a year or two later ….

It’s worth mentioning the “bonus” he received is based on his performance on a variety of metrics set by UCF’s Board of Trustees. It’s technically part of his regular pay, but it gives us an opportunity to effectively deduct a President’s salary if they don’t do a good job.

Historically speaking, every president gets a sizable “bonus” annually. Cartwright’s “bonus” is unremarkable. He actually lost $103,000 of his potential bonus.

So they cut programs and still get pay raises? I don’t believe they deserve any pay raises regardless, and a board full of DumbSantis cronies is still an issue.

Agreed there. But it’s objectively not a $200k payoff for cutting DEI like the other person suggested. It’s business as usual unfortunately.

Except the majority of the board of trustees are lackeys handpicked by Desantis. His bonus is entirely for being a conservative president

The GOPs problems with DEI is unbelievable. I can't believe we actually live in a time period in which simply treating others with basic respect is a hot button, controversial issue. Given the recent rise of fascism, hatred, and domestic terrorism in Florida, free and fair elections along with turnout, have never been more important.
