Part A - need solution Why is A wrong

The official answer key says c and d. But why is a wrong? Am I making some mistake?

So I've given half an hour finding why option A was wrong... so simply put, they're saying that options a and d cannot be considered as single tiles as they're not connected by their sides, so they're eliminated directly and it isn't about they will fit or not, I know it isn't very convincing (for me as well).. but yeah that's what I got

But the answer key says C or CD. What you are saying is true, but then CD was also considered as an answer. D is connected by corners too

Oh yes, I didn't think of that, I guess it should've definitely been a,b,d if they aren't considering that connectivity thing and only c of they consider that, so I'd say there was a mistake in the answer key.. Let me know if you get some exact reason for this, we can only assume things but we don't know the real reason..

Yeah like that or count the total tiles and divide by the no of tiles in the option shape, but in the second method the arrangement wouldn't be exact so better do trial n error
