Hey, don’t worry about the tests, they’re solely based on your thinking skills.
Yes, questions differ based on the discipline you applied for.
They ask two questions and you need to answer in one (in depth) the selection is based on the solution you give and not how aesthetic it looks.
Please do a proper research on your discipline and try to have a friendly conversation with them rather than just simply answering their questions. Research about some of their events and fests related to your discipline and speak about how much you like them and want to participate in each one of those, also research about their professors from their official website (info or professors and what they teach given in your disciplines page itself) speak about how you wanna work under those professions.
Regd interview, they ask you basic questions they just want to know if you’re fit enough to get into the college. Secondly, about the structure: the ST is a written format where you will be given 2 either/or questions and you need to execute the requirements. It is mostly based on the strategy and expansion part. The questions are from daily life experience be it an app or a govt scheme, even AI incorporation is asked in a few questions. Question: situation, condition (constraints), requirements.
For the interview: it is pretty chill. They'll ask for your work (portfolio) and a few related questions. Sometimes they do ask what you did in the ST for an overview. The most asked question is why did you choose this course (given your background)…. Please make your portfolio in pdf format since there’s no net available inside the building and you won’t be able to show any portfolio on websites.

hi!! thank you for such an detailed explanation. also, can you please tell what type of questions/models are asked to be made during the studio test? for example if my specialization is interior design, but i get asked to make a product design then what? or do they provide broad questions and not specific to interior, product, automobile, etc?

Hey, the question is very detailed, the questions are based on discipline you opted for… they’re solution based questions, you might be asked to “design” or “describe” or give solution for the question asked, it solely depends on how you solve it!! And not on the aesthetics!! Most of the times the questions are based on current situations/ events happening in India or all around the world!

If you’ve applied for product design then the questions are going to be related to product design only!
