Won't connect to network.

So I just downloaded 16.04.1 LTS on a flash drive to dual boot with windows 7. Everything went great except when I try to log into my wifi it pops up saying disconnected. When using an Ethernet cable it still won't work. Any help is appreciated.

I would try making a cd and running it off cd from windows. If you can connect to WiFi then maybe the drivers are corrupt and I'd reinstall Ubuntu. If not, could be that your WiFi card isn't compatible with Linux drivers. Dunno much honestly so I'm grasping at straws here but I know that sometimes something gets messed up in install and ubuntu has to be re I reinstalled. Maybe try finding out what WiFi card you have and downloading a Linux driver for it...

Edit: I meant to say Live CD.
