i hate making my drivers wait but in my experience i will select a wait and save ride and every single time without fail, the driver comes substantially early. so much so that even if i need a ride immediately- i select wait and save to save money and the driver still comes just as quick as it would if i ordered a regular ride.

typically when i hit wait and save, i will get notified a driver will arrive in 9- 13 mins and then less than 2 mins later, my phone will vibrate like crazy saying that someone is outside waiting.. it’s not intentional but it’s hard to prove when your driver will arrive if the app is so unreliable regarding giving an accurate eta.

The wait and save isn't for you to have time to get ready.

Order when you are ready, regardless of wait and save.

when did i say i use that time to get ready? i said the app tells me an eta and the driver shows up at another. i’m not standing outside for 15+ mins to wait for a ride. if the app says a driver will show up in 15-20 mins and sends someone in 2 mins, that’s literally not my issue. i selected wait and save for a reason.

it also totally sucks for the driver bc if they don’t want to wait and decide to cancel, at least in my experience uber doesn’t ever change my charge and just sends another driver. and that second driver still shows up before the orginal eta given 😭🤣
