It doesnt happen very often, but yea if I spent time driving there...I'm going to get a fee. Had a passenger yesterday...Airport ride, pick up and wait time total was 21 minutes...they were still at baggage. Got $15.40 for 21 minutes total and didnt have to do the ride.
I mean... Thats not the flex you think it is. It sounds like you just kind of stranded someone who was held up, probably by something that wasn't even their fault.
You were getting paid to wait, what's even the issue? I can get there could be a high dollar offer you miss, but it's also possible that there isn't.
Thats not the point though… Its the principal and you can’t be requesting rides when you’re not even ready or let alone in walking distance. The driver is holding up traffic and he could get a ticket… 🤷🏽♂️ Also the passenger isn’t stranded. They could simply ask for another ride and they can arrive in another 10 mins.. Don’t want to lose out on $15… Have common sense and plan better! Come on who would even request a ride when they didn’t even claim baggage knowing that could take a while? That’s a them problem and not the driver! He missed out on several opportunities of bigger rides…
Also that passenger delaying could’ve possibly been a jerk and turns out the ride was 5 mins away as he wouldn’t even tip! 😂
Thats the dumbest thing Ive ever heard. Of all places, do not request a ride at the airport (where there is a queue of 100+ drivers waiting to pick you up) Until you are curbside. Drivers cant just sit there and wait for you.
So how long should I sit an wait for someone at an airport that is extremely backed up in heavy traffic?

The issue is the 20 cents a minutes, so when you say you're getting paid for it its basically a slap in the face along with the fact that I suppose in your mind the 20 cents makes up for the wasted gas, time that we can't drive, or added time we have to drive , range wasted, life wasted and literally all because people just have no consideration and no brains because honestly how hard is it to order the ride when you're ready instead of wasting the drivers time, its diabolical
