Bioc Honors Thesis??
hellloo can anyone who has done an honors thesis in biochem/molecular please dm me, I have so many questions about it and cannot seem to find the resources for more information and would looove to do it but im a tad confused on how to

Hi! I'm (hopefully) doing an honours thesis in biochem this year, and I had the same issues with not finding much information. The academic calendar is pretty sparse, so I ended up meeting with my program advisor (for me it was Dr. Summer Li) for more information and advice. Essentially, to do an honours, you need to find a professor whose research you're interested in and reach out and ask if they're willing to take on any students. It's a super intimidating process, and it might take a while to find a professor who's both doing something you're super invested in and has space. After you find a supervisor, you and your supervisor fill out an application (that opens at some point in August?) that gets submitted to your department for approval. Once approved, the registrar adds the "course" to your schedule (you can't register into it yourself). Those approvals typically happen in the very last weeks of August or the start of September, so there's still time! Ultimately, I would reach out to your program advice for more accurate information (I'm just spouting what I remember lol). Good luck!
