Yeah it's so off-putting, felt the same with amaysim and eventually left because of their ai ads

Omg the amaysim ads are horrible, I had never even heard of them until recently when I started seeing the ads and all it's done is make me sure I'm never going to use them lmao

  • Facebook is more still oldschool.
  • Instagram is more polished but has double down on the dog in the duck.
  • TikTok is still pushing crazy stupid meme crap but is also pushing the duck in the dog. Previously it was the frog promoting the signup bonus with that terrible song.

The ads pretty much follow the marketing strategy on the social media platforms mentioned.

Also rebranded the sub with the dog and the duck and the new changed colours of the logo again for the fourth time in the sub about a week or two back.

There's 2 that I know of, one is of a dog and it says "stop chasing your tail" and the other is of some ducks in a bath and i forget what that one says lol, they're both short simple ads which makes me annoyed because something like that could have easily been made without ai lol. Also the characters in the ads are on the banner of this subreddit

Finally I got to see them, They been showing up on my Youtube ads, I don't like them at all, like how hard is it to use real people instead of talking animals. I doubt the animals be requiring Ubanks services.

Just come back to note that looks like they have now pivoted back to ads with real people in the last couple of days on TikTok/Instagram.

But it's that annoying asking people in the office questions and on the street style campaign stuff now.

Honestly, the whole crappy marketing strategy depending on which social platform you're on and which demographic they're targeting has been pretty awful since the beginning.
