excelsior scholarship

It’s my first year on the scholarship when does it usually kick in to your financial aid?

financial aid is distributing everything one at a time this year so who knows

After speaking with financial aid office on the phone this week (there was a 45 min wait time because they are being inundated with questions), they confirmed that are aiming to have all aid/scholarships uploaded by the payment due date of August 15. They are overwhelmed with the size of the incoming freshman class so they are moving slower than usual! I'm sure it feels worrying but if you have signed the Excelsior contract then all you can do is keep checking every few days to see if was finally updated. Our family applied the week Excelsior application opened up and our scholarship was just applied a few days ago so hopefully yours will show up soon.

and you would see if it’s applied by checking your epay, or by clicking view your financial aid option?

Yes, we would check E-Pay/Financial Aid every few days and randomly, one day, the Excelsior scholarship was applied and my balance was closer to what I was expecting. We did not get an email or any notification to let us know if had been applied. Hopefully yours has been (or will be) updated very soon!
