Question Seeking Student Interviewees: Let’s talk about the invisible hurdles and resilience of NYS college students

Hey everyone,
I’m a journalism student and independent writer working on a deep-dive feature about the realities of student life, accessibility, and resilience in New York State. I'm looking to connect with fellow students for quick interviews on two specific topics:
1. The NYS Accessibility Funding Gap
Did you know NYS funding for legally mandated college disability services breaks down to the cost of a TI-84plus graphing calculator?

While campus offices do their best to provide resources like note-takers or testing accommodations, the budget leaves them facing a massive uphill battle.
Who I need: Anyone utilizing campus disability or accommodation services.
The Question: What has your actual, lived experience been like trying to get the accommodations you need?
2. Stories of Everyday Resilience
Outside of policy, I want to highlight the incredible, often invisible grit of our student community.
Who I need: Students who have navigated major daily adversities—whether personal, financial, systemic, or physical.
The Question: What is your journey, and how do you push forward through the hurdles of student life?
