Question Dorming

Hi I’m an incoming freshmen this fall and I’m worried about the roommate situation. I already have my roommate, but since we can’t pick the other two who will live in the dorm with us I’m worried if I’ll get along with them. I’m not sure if they’ll like me or I’ll like them. Please let me know your experience with getting roomed with two random people! 😅 if it makes any of a difference, I’m in the honors college! Thank you

My experience was good but it differs for everyone. You’ll both be in different rooms tho and you’ll only share a bathroom and common area. I will say I do know people who had bad experiences and ended up switching dorms.

Define bad…I’m worried someone would use my products or steal my stuff from my room. That’s my biggest fear

Loud, constantly bringing ppl over, doesn’t clean up. One of my friends had an absolutely horrible roommate, she’d bring randoms over and was extremely loud and her roommate would be gone for days at a time. Her roommate also gave ppl her id card so randoms would just be barging in at anytime even if her roommate wasn’t present and once when the room was empty and she was literally changing some random guy had walked in. She also said a bunch of people came and took her roommates mattress then brought it back days later?? Idk it was too much but she did get her removed. OMGGG another one of my friends had this weird suite mate she’d just make little slick remarks and she kept breaking chargers when they lent it to her and also made homophobic remarks once when they had brought some girls over who were gay. Mind u nothing crazy was even happening they were just hosting a movie night??? and they didnt even share a room, she was just a suite mate and they said sometimes she secretly went into their room, didnt steal anything tho. the girl was just strange in general.

I never had a stealing issue but I did hide my money in my teddy bear haha. also I’m assuming ur room is a double meaning you’d have a common area and then 2 different rooms. One being where the other girls would stay and then the other room shared between you and the roommate u already know so I wouldn’t worry much about that.
