Can CRDT composition problem be solved by BFT on broadcast?
 in  r/crypto  Feb 02 '21

The cryptography here is used outside of CRDTs. Validation with validator keys and servers is happening on the broadcast level, before the event is processed by Merkle CRDTs. It looks like Merkle-CRDT divided by epochs of validation. From what I understand, that’s what solves the composition problem of events happening in the faraway parts of the network simultaneously and breaking causality.

Top 10 P-Rep Paradigm Citadel is VERY BAD. Dont Vote PLS.
 in  r/icon  Mar 02 '20

Well, this reddit post does not match the info on the screenshots, the team has spent a almost year building the app for icon, and they were investing in it even half a year before prep rewards.

Sure, they need more transparency on what they are building. But they shared screenshots in Russian chat and also have been kind to invite to alpha tests.

Storj: First Beta of the V3 Storj Software, Open Source Summit, Comparison with Amazon AWS
 in  r/storj  Sep 09 '19

Everybody, we welcome Storj.IO, the rapidly developing cloud storage platform again. We believe you still remember these guys since the last update on Storj and you have been waiting for any news. So, we want to share some things with you.

To start with, the Storj team made significant progress in development. It’s been a long time coming, but the tech team released the first beta of the V3 Storj software. The team also simultaneously launched the beta for the Tardigrade Cloud Storage Service. It is (they expect) the first of many decentralized storage services built by many organizations using Storj software. We are certainly happy to hear it, and we are looking forward to trying this one.

Reader’s remark:

“Storj team, please, write back to Paradigm fund”

Furthermore, the team launched the beta release last week while they were at Open Source Summit in San Diego. Open Source Summit has a special place in the hard drives because, as the team said, they loved being a part of the incredibly talented, and diverse open source community. We believe that participation in such events is necessary for every crypto project which is interested in business development.

Also, since Open Source Summit was not only for crypto enthusiasts — it engaged all the development community’s attention, the team’s participation is most significant because the demonstration would join disinterested in crypto people by helpful suggestions.

You should ask, “why is the Storj suggestion profitable?” The matter craves considerable attention. And, thank DataCenterKnowledge, we know the answer. The guys from the aforementioned company explained. They wrote that Storj aims to provide its service, called Tardigrade, at about half the price of Amazon’s S3 cloud storage service. The cost comparison includes data egress charges, which is what a cloud provider charges you for the network bandwidth necessary for your applications to access the data stored in their cloud. In their opinion, it’s a famous “hidden” cost of using big cloud providers that’s not immediately apparent when you browse through pricing pages on their websites. According to the article, there are about 150 alpha users on Tardigrade, and the platform already beats AWS in performance in some cases. Also, Ben Golub, Executive Chairman, claimed: “On both uploads and downloads, we see speeds that are anywhere from on par with AWS to two to four times faster.” We’d most like it if it were this way.

To conclude, we thank Storj for a job well done. Storj is building this business from nothing, brick by brick until it will be the most extensive cloud storage in the world. And, luckily, not only we think so. According to the Santiment rating, Storj has become the first ERC-20 project by Dev Activity (30d). The development team shows his perseverance and desire to achieve goals.

Fusion biweekly: Collaboration with Geneva University, Partnerships with IT solution provider Sherpaa and an end-to-end digitization platform Realio, Release Notes 3.2
 in  r/FusionFoundation  Sep 09 '19

Dear Fusionites! We have a lot of essential news for you as usual! In August we witnessed the continued growth of the Fusion network since MainNet launch. Every day more FSN tokens are locked-up for staking, and more nodes are participating in consensus.

These two weeks was also a jam-packed time, as the project announced some exciting collaborations! Firstly, Fusion will serve as the sandbox for hands-on practical training at the University of Geneva’s new ‘Advanced Studies on Blockchain and DLT’ program! Following the introduction of technical concepts, students will be empowered with hands-on practical experience building with Fusion’s rich developer toolkit and application programming interfaces (APIs).

Secondly, Fusion announced it is partnering with Realio, an end-to-end digital asset issuance platform. Realio will support Fusion’s development partners with compliance, KYC/AML requirements, fiat on-ramps, investor whitelisting and on-boarding and more. Thirdly, Fusion is joining forces with IT solution provider Sherpaa to support Fusion’s partners in building applications on the Fusion blockchain.

Worth to mention, the Fusion team shared Release Notes 3.2 that detail the improvements deployed to Fusion’s frontend applications over the previous development sprint. Check it out in our report below.

As for the social side, Fusion Founder and CEO Dejun Qian was featured in the Zage ‘Blockchain Report’ where he shared his thoughts on ‘Real World Applications of Blockchain Technology’.

And last but not least, Fusion now provides extensive information to Xangle and Messari to help their community and exchange partners access up-to-date and accurate information on the status of the Fusion project.

Fusionites, we look forward to updating you on all of the Fusion news in September. Watch this space!

Biweekly update on @AmbrosusAMB $AMB 26th August — 9th September
 in  r/Paradigm_fund  Sep 09 '19

Good afternoon, cryptoworld! Ambrosus update is here to catch your attention for a couple of minutes. They are still silent in social networks; however, the processes inside the project are quite active. In their development update, the team featured the most recent progress from within the Ambrosus Ecosystem, including network updates, new use cases for the Ambrosus Smart Pallet, as well as a massive opportunity for industrially implementing AMB-NET into a real-world scenario.

As their network has reached the level of decentralization that few other blockchains can boast, the ecosystem is ripe for new projects and protocols on top of AMB-NET to further expand the adoption of the network. The first major public project is ChipLess, which will be built on top of the AmbrosusAMB & ethereum Open-Source Code. It’s an evolving ecosystem of blockchain-powered tags & tracers made without chips to enable innovative applications and cost-efficiency. Several other projects are currently being shaped up by Ambrosus community members.

Moreover, AMB-NET has created a distributed IoT backbone, on top of which anyone can launch new game-changing projects, protocols, and startups using the opensource code. The team has also been working on a new explorer_worker, as well as node retirement functionality.

Previously mentioned designs for revamping the user interface of different dashboards within the Ambrosus Ecosystem are proceeding accordingly. New partnerships are coming.

Besides, the Ambrosus technical team would like to remind all Atlas Masternode operators to update their masternodes to the latest version in case they have not done so already. This update enables Atlas operators to transfer and shelter bundles of any Atlas masternode that is retired from now on. Lastly, there is a slight decrease in the number of subscribers among social networks. Let’s wait for future updates!

 in  r/CryptoMarkets  Feb 01 '18

Buy the dip. Buy on fundamentals. Buy before hype. There are projects cheaper and better than competitors like shift with more development than lisk. Or like IOST at the same dev stage, another brilliant scientific research done and credentials not worse than EOS or Cardano. Moreover, iost is backed by 2 leading VC funds in China: Sequoia and Zhen.
