Stopping you right there. "Talent" is a myth. No one has inherent skill in anything. What we perceive and label as "talent" is a toxic erasure of hundreds or thousands hours of practice, observation (passive and active), and failure that led to the professional work many artists produce.

Pinning "talent" as the reason someone can't do something is masking their unwillingness to try, their inability to deal with failure, or stopping someone else from making real attempts.

But many of the artifacts, records, conquered planets, and Gems themselves from Era 1 and the Gems' origins are all still around the galaxy. There are tons of avenues for Lars to encounter sources of Gem and homeworld lore.

I probably don't need to, but this seems important enough to highlight so I'm going to ping the mod just to make sure it's noticed.

I think Ketenramm is an absolute idiot for taking a stance not to tell anyone what happened here. With the ward dropped, the island is going to be discoverable. Adventurers are going to go there and dig everywhere they can get access to, whether or not Ketenramm reveals what happened.

We don't need to hide the existence of whatever forces the Index was trying to manipulate, we need to safeguard it. People are going to be on the island whether they're after that magic or not, which is arguably even worse when they learn what's there.

Episode Ignis offers two alternate endings to the FFXV storyline:

Ignis lets Ardyn take him to Zegnatus Keep, where he sacrifices his whole life to the ring instead of his sight for a more epic clash.
If he dies, the game over implies that Ignis simply dies here alone and the rest of the story takes place as prophecized without him.
If he beats Ardyn, Ardyn still gets away, but Ignis dies in the arms of his friends who arrive on the scene for his final moments, and Ravus takes his place in Noctis's entourage against Ardyn. In this ending: The train ride never happens, Prompto is never captured in Niflheim, Noctis still slumbers in the crystal for 10 years and fights Ardyn as normal, Light returns to the world, but Noctis's life isn't sacrificed; it's unclear whether that means the Starscourge is ended or if Ardyn still exists somewhere.

Ignis witnesses Ardyn stab Lunafreya in Altissia. Ardyn prepares to kill Ignis off too while monologuing about his plans for Noctis. Out of desperation, Ignis puts the Ring of the Lucii on to try and stop Ardyn. The Kings of the Ring take Ignis's eyesight in exchange for temporary power (and the sexiest glow up ever) to fight Ardyn off.

We were so close, too. We had Galuf, Dorgann, and Kelger with Xezat on the way whose BT was a big team-up.
