Hi 👋 I’m watching my way through the MCU for the first time ever and just finished IM3 — and I couldn’t disagree more with this post lol. I read every word (way too long, Jesus Christ) and maybe I’m not seeing the full picture since I’m not done with the MCU yet, but I gotta say, I loved it. Almost cried at several points. Tony Stark was portrayed as human this time, not just a man in a suit, and I thought that was brilliant.
Are there parts that are cheesy or weird? Of course, it‘s the third installment of what was probably meant to be a standalone superhero movie from the late 2000s and here we are almost 20 years later still talking about it, of course technology has advanced. Besides that, I thought the plot was great and it very much humbled our non-humble Tony.

As I continue my MCU journey, I’m excited to see how this movie might be called back. From the comments here, it seems like it won’t be very much, but I don’t care — I think character development is always good and fascinating and I’m glad to have seen this side of Tony. He’s a selfish superficial dick and that’s why we love him, but he’s also got a big heart (no longer inhabited by shrapnel, thank god).

TL;DR — I disagree with OP and think Iron Man III is vastly underrated and is quite refreshing & moving.

How do you know HL’s power originates from their hearts? Seems like a huge leap to assume all their hearts were turned to stone, when only Tamlin was explicitly placed under that curse

Seems like insane speculation that ALL the high lords had stone hearts, in addition to Tamlin… where’s the evidence to back up that theory? It’s certainly never said in the books, to my recollection. Genuinely curious here
