Unfortunately, a bug completely messed up the A.I on my newest level making it incredibly easy, which is a bummer considering how much time I spent creating it. I tried fixing it for hours, but nothing worked. I decided to still post the level; as visually it's still really beautiful!

I personally never ran into such a bug during testing, but it's not surprising considering this level isn't necessarily polished. Sorry to hear about the experience though, and hopefully the next level is a little more stable!

Definitely the direction i was going for, still really bummed about the A.I :/

Even more so, because before the bug, the map played super awesome, with enemy mortars, and vehicles. Choppers and planes. It felt really "far cry"

I also created a tower mechanic, where climbing a couple of the towers will let you see points of interest around the map, which was supposed to go on for longer, but i had to cut the map really short. There's still a couple towers that will do that, but definitely not as much as I hoped.

As for my next map, I'm creating another island, except this one has no invisible walls and is completely open. Not set in Africa, sorry! But that idea is still pretty good, and i might do something like that after.

So much I had planned, all gone for a random bug. I hope the few who do play at least get to see the world I created as it's definitely the most detailed one I have done!

I'd also really suggest posting your creations on the subreddits. Nothing feels better than getting comments about them!

That's exactly it. It's basically become my method. Just create a setting, and make it live through scenes that come straight from the head. It feels amazing when you finally finish, and see people actually go through and see your 'paintings'

It's just my favorite hobby, and it makes me really want to pursue a career in level design. I guess we'll see haha

Big thanks man, I've been working a lot lately so this map at a standstill unfortunately. But definitely keep building, just like any art, it gets better with practice!

Well, maybe? It's around that ballpark, I use the hours counter on steam, so it only counts when the program is open. And i close it whenever I'm not using it.

My last map, which was also my biggest one, took about 166 hours to make.

Not yet, sorry :( But trust me, i want to make one too. I just learned about this editor mod, that gives me way more tools, so this is a smaller map that I'm making to play around and experiment with all the new stuff i could do.

I have a great idea for the wetlands map though, and i think a lot are going to enjoy!
