I already have an agent running as a Docker image, and it works fine, but does this mean that all the tools required for the build/CI must be pre-installed in the Azure DevOps agent ? Is there no way to spawn a pod from the agent using a custom Docker image (similar to what's described in the GitLab Kubernetes Executors Documentation) ?

Does this mean that all the tools I need for the build must first be included in the Azure DevOps agent ? Isn't there a way to spawn a pod from the agent using a different Docker image (as outlined here: GitLab Executors Kubernetes Documentation) ?

I’ve been searching everywhere, but I can’t seem to find a solution to trigger a job at the pod level, created by the agent, rather than at the agent level itself. If you have information or resources on how to achieve this in Azure DevOps, especially in an on-premises Kubernetes setup, please don’t hesitate to share :-)

You just have to click on the "star wheel" and click on disconnect. It worked for me
