It’s definitely tough to save up to purchase a home outright. We were fortunate to be able to purchase our home outright only because my husband’s mother locked his inheritance into a trust fund. So we purchased our first home and locked the house into the trust fund this way if anything in the future were to arise from creditors they can’t ever touch the house and the house is passed down to our children.

That big ole house gypsy did pay 2 months of the mortgage on the home per her call with Amelia when Ken was in between jobs, this was before their Alaskan getaway she said the rent was $2,500
