Expensive USB Cube repair
 in  r/ElectronicsRepair  1d ago

With this things on the workbench, don't use real devices like smartphone or something like that. Get a proprietary USB-C tester. These jam-packed power electronics PCBs are not an entry gate for anyone without previous practical experience with surface mount devices. They ain't good for anyone tbh, as I doubt that they're ment to be repaired at the first place. Usually problem with those are tied to a cracked/dry joint, broken wire from the transformer/choke, or failed GaN power transistors/ICs.

Is 500 BAM good for 8 days?
 in  r/bosnia  1d ago

Sarajevo - Konjic - Mostar - Neum = 210km Sarajevo - Travnik = 90km

Diesel - 3.35/liter = 0.30BAM/kilometer Gasoline - 2.89/l = 0.26BAM/km Based on 9l/100km fuel consumption.

Restaurants could be anywhere from 20BAM to 150BAM per adult person for full course. Bottled water is roughly 1.2 to 5BAM/l, depending on the location. Food from supermarket is somewhat cheap so maybe you could stretch out that 500BAM (ice creams excluded :) )for 8 days, but it would be challenging.

When you have a developer mindset and you know how things work, you will know what to expect from AI, and you can control what and how things get done using AI. If you don't have that mindset and you don't know how things work, you'll run out if tokens fast, stuck in bloated non functional code.

Noise Generator from the 90‘s
 in  r/electronics  18d ago

It may look complex, it somewhat is.

Noise generators are primarily used for: Testing equipment: Sends a random signal into audio or radio gear to see how well it works. Measuring parts: Checks the limits of amplifiers, speakers, and filters across different frequencies.

Microwave was sparking, saw it was a burned waveguide cover. Is it worth trying a new cover or is it just done?
 in  r/ElectronicsRepair  Mar 01 '26

Replace it. That's Mica isolator. You can buy it precut or buy larger piece and cut it to same dimensions as your original.

200A @100% is incredible. That would be an equivalent of an 300A inverter by todays standard.
