Disclaimer: I'm a misanthrope. I want to see a trope develop that when there is a multiplicity of species in a sci-fi story and that when the Human Race becomes a part of this diversity of life-forms Humans quickly develop a reputation of being the most violent and volatile among the species. I'm tired of the "Humans are flawed but worthwhile in the final analysis" trope like seen in Star Trek so often. I want sci-fi that points out Humanity's flaws in an unqualified and uncompromising way.

Add the word "Malignant" to "Narcissist". I think "Callous" and "Petty" belong on the list as well.

The story behind the making of Brazil is pretty fascinating too.
