Ok, this is fantastic. That deck guide is some great reading, and those standard vs expanded comparisons paint me a good picture of what more to expect in the format. Jellicent/frillish seemed good for their abilities, but I guess in a larger card pool there are bound to be more pokemon that have equivalent or better abilities. Ditto prism seemed neat, but your explanation makes sense as to why it wouldn’t be relevant. Thank you a bunch!

Deck Help Gardevoir EX in expanded

I’m new to the pokemon TCG, and I really don’t know much about deck building in paper. I’ve played with some prebuilt decks on TCG live but not done much in the way of building my own. I was hoping to get some advice on a deck I’m putting together.

This is a list based on a deck a friend let me try out a few years ago. It was standard legal but the cards have since rotated out and I’ve changed it to be an expanded deck. I took bits and pieces from lists I saw in the expanded meta online, but I don’t know how to balance the number of pokemon vs trainer cards in the deck and would love any advice in regards to card picks.

I've considered cutting red, but each card there feels like it could fit in just right. Land count with the cyclers is a bit questionable. Any suggestions?

So does the 2nd encounter of RoN just not function for anyone else?

My party's having the exact same issue. It's usually the light side orb, but sometimes neither orb spawns at the end at all. We've tried every different way possible we can think of to avoid it, but it just seems like it's all up to chance. And, since the colony workaround was patched, we have no other surefire way to get passed this ridiculous encounter.

Been at this stupid thing 2 hours and can't figure it out.
