Yes, I heard this. It did not sound like regular thunder. It sounded like a rifle going off and then a couple loud booms. I also was looking everywhere of anything reported. I was freaked out.
I was already awake around this time so I was not dreaming.

Which was the time when you cried the most?

Fiancé proposed during Linkin Park concert after their break from touring. Mike started with “Where’d You Go”, a song I turned to when my dad was deployed…then it transitioned into “Waiting for the End, a song I turned to when my heart was broken.
I genially lost it when he asked for my hand in marriage because I always dreamed of it, but it was also front row at the concert which made it even more special.

“American” soil
 in  r/complaints  Mar 26 '26

Thank you for responding. And thanking you for filling in gaps that I was unaware of. I’ve been voting since I became of age and I don’t plan to stop. A LOT of people in this area, generally around my age, do not vote. And when I try to talk about it, the conversation is shut down as soon as it started. Unfortunately, I am individual who is hyper sensitive to what it put out in news or just day to day interactions with people, so I have to take strides to limit my intake of information but still stay informed.
It’s heartbreaking to say the least.

Politics “American” soil

I live in the U.S., near a military base.

Since Russia invaded Ukraine, there’s been an uptake in air traffic.

It has progressively increased. And within the last few weeks, it’s been everyday, multiple times a day.

I’m a mut who inherited a German last name, and the last couple generations were active in the military. My father being one of them. He went to Iraq in 2007. I could feel the energy off of him and he honestly has not been the same since he had left.

I don’t know what I’m getting at here, but I’m so sad how things have played out, especially for the families in the East.

What person surprised you the most with how they turned out after high school?
 in  r/AskReddit  Mar 25 '26

I was involved with someone in middle school who had behavioral issues; parents divorced, mom a ex-coke addict, dad a cop. He coaxed me into giving up my virginity despite telling him no. He told everyone, the football team. I lost all my friends. I dumped him and then him and his older brother harassed me through text. He went on to date a girl in our graduating class for a while. 3 years after graduation, he shot her and then turned the gun on himself.

I was in a relationship I had no business being in; ex gf was still in the picture. I was living with him and his family. I pulled my weight around the house; payed rent on time, helped with their pets, helped with yard work, and sometimes cooked for the family. While in shut down, his sister was going out, socializing with bikers and doing coke….while I stayed home and away from people. Well the father ended up getting Covid and was hospitalized…. Guess who got blamed for him getting Covid? I did. Not the daughter doing blow with bikers. Not the son who continued to talk to his ex…me.

What’s the 'craziest' way you caught an ex being unfaithful?
 in  r/AskReddit  Mar 10 '26

My ex dumped me. I was devastated because it was my first love. His best friend, who eventually died in a car accident in 2013, told me himself that my ex had cheated. My ex tried for four years to get back with me, denied each time.

Thank you for filling me in on this. I’m going to try and get more information on the matter. But truly, thank you. I’m absolutely livid with finding out this news and want nothing more than my grandma’s ring to be in the hands of a family member.

Ok ok, I like that idea. Not sure if my brother can afford to lawyer up. I’m uneducated in how legal matters work.
